A (probably spoofed) number that showed up with a voicemail consistent with the Canada Revenue Agency scam currently doing the rounds. Man with bad (Indian) English who didn't give his name or ask for a specific person said if I didn't call back with a credit card to pay an outstanding tax bill within one hour I'd be arrested. RIIIIIIIIIGHT. BLOCKED. I note that this call came in 6 minutes after another of the same type from another 613 area code number with a Chinese caller.

I got a call from a man who identified himself as Federal Agent. The guy's voice speaks fluent English and states that the RCMP has instructions to proceed arresting me if I don't pay an outstanding tax bill within one hour. The only bill I had pending to pay was a traffic violation ticket, which I paid yesterday in full at the bank, it has nothing to do with the CRA, and besides, I don't have any outstanding debt with the CRA. It must be scam and it is frightening. The man identified himself as a Federal Agent but doesn't say of which agency.

Received two calls from this number.  Once as an investigator from the criminal investigators section of CRA and one as just a federal agent of the CRA.....both claiming a lawsuit from the CRA blah blah blah.....you will be arrested blah blah blah.

I received a call from Bell Canada, however was unable to reach my phone. A voice mail was left and A couple hours later another phone call was made where my son answered the phone because I was not home at the time. The man told my son that it was a secure message however the voice mail had said:
A man identified himself as a federal agent working for CRA. He stated that there is lawsuit against me and that I have to respond by calling back within one hour.
He mentioned that this one my final notice, however no notice was given beforehand.
The man speaks English and has an accent

got a call on this number and by just listening on the voicemail I knew it was a scam, please ignore these people don't be a victim...

I've talked to this very rude guy (from the CRA)  too.  Got the same story, but when I kept him talking, he actually came up with a name in our household.  I asked him what she could to for him and he replied "I want to f*** her."  He has phone numerous times, even after I blasted a whistle in his ear a few times.  Now he has changed the number he calls from.  He now calls from 613-319-4968.  I got two calls this morning.

A relative in Toronto also received a call from 613-319-4968 on December 8. He said his name was Kevin Johnson from Microsoft. He said something was wrong with their computer. He spoke with a strong Asian accent.
