I get a call from this number every day. They never leave a message and I have no idea who they are.

They've been calling me too....looked it up....this is what I found....

Probably looking for donations, if you have donated before....

This person calls often and does not say anything or leave a message.
This is quite annoying and would like it to stop.

Calls me two to three times a month. Never leaves a message, if I pick up there is no one there.
I have repeatedly emailed, called and even written in to the Canadian Diabetes Assoc. asking them to please take me off their call list, but never even received a reply back.
This has been going on for over a year now.

Now calling everday at 5.25 PM !!  SPAMMERS

The exempt from the DNCL are still responsible to comply with putting numbers on their own DNCL

If they ignore your request - report them to the Federal DNCL they are liable for fines then

Jen:  Thanks for I.D.ing the caller.  My phone screen says "unknown caller" and they never leave a message.  This is the second time they have called my number this month.  I don't answer the phone.

I have been harassed by The Canadian Diabetes Association for several years, and I told them in no uncertain terms to take my number OFF their list!  It appears they have a very short memory.  This all started about 12 years ago when my daughter gave them a donation of clothes.  Since then they have been called ridiculously too often. It isn't as if everyone changes their wardrobe every week, & she had given all she had at the time.  She is no longer living here.  This is a very poor policy by the CDA, and I think I will write to their organization to let them know it has a VERY NEGATIVE EFFECT on the people they bug!

Frankly if I did have any unwanted clothes I would rather give them to any OTHER  organization OR burn them in my fire pit rather than hand them over to that organization!

I think it is the Canadian Diabetes Association Clothesline calling to see if you have items to donate. They take used items to Value Village stores and receive some of the proceeds.

Yes and take a look at the prices at these so called discount stores tripled in the last several years, more expensive than wallmart LOL.

Sure, they need to fix the problem of over dialing.  Poor people can have less clothing because of it.  Is that a reasonable consequence?  Perhaps alittle unfair.  Since the 70s, minimum wage has decreased quality of living in conjunction with corporate market fixed prices, making life tougher for more people.  The calls are annoying, but I will still give.

Try calling the Clothesline number 1(800)505-5525. They'll take your number off the call list.

This IS the Canadian Diabetes Foundation. I gave them my number (& allowed them to call me) because I am a regular contributor  to the CDF. You may request that your number be removed from their database, but that might not be sufficient.

I do not know about the DNC (Do Not Call) rules precisely, but many (meaning LOTS) of DNC requests have resulted in my getting calls from other telemarketing [***]. In this case....... caveat emptor .... Let the buyer beware...

There are too many ways for a biz to circumvent federal rules such as Do Not Call. Since I use a cell phone as my primary phone connection, I have ID'd this number as "CDA Spam". Thus, if called, I do not answer. (or do, if I have a donation on hand) Easy. For me, at least... (btw, I am a Fido customer)

I too have been called almost daily from this number with message,and no one on the line so I searched it - The Canadian Diabetes Association number came up.  I understand the negative impact it has on people (me included) and how badly it reflects the CDA as a whole.  As a mother of a young daughter with type 1 diabetes I am saddened about the bad practices of the CDA clothesline segment of the CDA which undoubtedly paints the entire association in bad light.  The CDA has researched and published many educational materials for parents, schools and caregivers of children with type 1 diabetes.  They also do outreach to newly diagnosed families, among other beneficial practices.  The work that the association as a whole does has been invaluable to our daughter and family as a whole.  I write this only to highlight that the Canadian Diabetes Association does very important and life-saving work and the practices of the clothesline division of this association does not reflect the good work that the CDA does as a whole.  I will be contacting the CDA over the annoying perpetual calls and voice my concerns on the impact they are having on the association as a whole.

Keep getting calls from 613-746-4633 almost daily. Name unknown but someone definitely hangs up after listening to me say "hello" several times.

I took the advice of another poster on this list and called 1(800)505-5525 the Clothesline number to take my number off the list. Called on a Saturday and a friendly person answered right away. I hope it goes into effect right away! I have donated items to CDA many times over the years, but then they started calling me almost every day just before supper which is nuts. If I have something to donate, I'll call them myself.
