I will be making use of a shipping company to have this picked up from your side and have it delivered. Further arrangements will be made with you in regards to the pick up once i have paid.

I would appreciate if you email me with more pictures (if available) since i won't be be able to see this in person, I'd be paying via PayPal or Bank transfer so kindly get back to me with your paypal or bank details for payment.

contacted me to buy couch. discovered its a scam although correspondence seemed above board all very plausible. Initially contacted me by text providing e mail address to communicate with them which was marybash@gmail.com asking me if item still for sale. e mailed me all day looking extremely interested advising they would pay immediately in to my paypal account and to let them have my paypal ID.

I had placed a gumtree add regarding a spare room. The person was interested in the room and she called herself KIM and even sent a copy of her passport. She wanted to send me rent and deposit for the first month. She said she would include some additional amount of 250 pounds to be tranferred to her packers and movers company in China. I was bit suspective at this point. She made up her own paypal email ID and sent an email as if paypal had sent me that the payment was received. But it wasn't reflected on my account. She asked to transfer the money to the company in China when I had not received a penny. I said I can't unless I have received the funds. She kept asking me to arrange somehow and deduct it later. I then called up paypal customer service to report it. It was found fraudulant.

Yes same for me wanted to pay via paypal and send money 2800$ to China seems to be targeting CarsGuide got to be joking

I replied telling her I googled her bane and location and saw that she is one of the top scam artists of gym tree and needs to stop doing whatever she is doing.

She is a 100% scam artist. Do not reply to any of janet/Jason maxwells messages please. Do not give them your bank account details.

Just listed my car on Gumtree and this person named Paul text me and wanted to buy it ASAP. No questions asked and kept wanting my Pay Pal account details. Was very cautious and glad I was. Googled the email address and came up with this.

I recieved a message  asking about an item on Gumtree. As i have several items for sale i asked which one it was she was referring to. I then got emailed back asking for condition and how long I had used the item for? I emailed back same reply. Then looked on the internet for the phone number. Then the email address . And then i found this site. Hopefully email hasn't been hacked but they would have got short shrift if they had mentioned couriers and paypal. I am a cash in hand take the stuff from my doorstep only type of girl and any nonsense I have my dogs.

is a scam for sure !!!

Looked a little dodgey as offering to but car no inspection or request for road worthy cert.  Replied cus still for sale (only listed approx 1 hour prior) then recieved the message below.  As didn't offer paypal or bank details havent heard anymore from mic.elliot!

Thanks for the detailed explanation ,am satisfied with your firm asking price and I really appreciate your honesty  as that is what i really need most as wont be able to come for inspection as am at work ,just want to buy the it as a surprise package for my son to show my appreciation in my absentia and i really believe he will really enjoy it.I would have love to ask for inspection but am making it a %100 surprise package for him and i dont want him to know about it until it delivered.
Please the fund is ready and available in my account so am ready to transfer the fund as soon as you get back to me with your payment invoice details through paypal and pick up could take place after payment clears into your account as i dont have much time over the internet .Thanks.

Thanks for the paypal payment request and am happy to proceed with the payment, however i just got a confirmation mail from the shipping company now that i will need to pay for the freighting fees before they can schedule pre-shipping/ pickup date,they charged $1,550aud for the pick up and delivery, but the problem is they only accept western union money transfer as form of payment which is sent to their HQ in the China.

As you are well aware of, due to the nature of my work am away and do not have access to western union, most post offices have western union section,will it be ok with you if I add the $1,550aud to the amount I am transferring? and as soon as the money goes through you can help me make the western union transfer of the freighting fees through western union money transfer? You are not obliged to help me, but i will indeed appreciate your help as I am a little incapacitated here.
