This number keeps calling my wife about a "claim".

Yep, they call me at strange hours also..it's a cell number...and they are full of *%#@!! So I called verizon and they blocked them...they have a few numbers, might be a pain, but just keep blocking them. Their fingers will begin to get tired at some point. hahaha. Or play with them, and say oh yea, she's/he's right here, hang on one second. Then just lay the phone down and play loud music. Or put them on mute and lay the phone down. Why not, they are buggin me for nothing. I have no bills, and no debt, so they are full of you know what. Another number is 614-329-0516

This number calls me everday (twice a day)..first its a lady them its a man..another number they call with is 614-452-6097 and 614-452-6094..I never answer i always push ignore..

this number keeps calling my all hours of the day so many times a day, they say my name but a completed different dob, i have told them so many time to stop calling me and that is not my dob. But they call again at my work place, and said my name but a completely different dob. i told them this was not my dob, and i asked why were they calling and all i got a guy names mike that was very rude, wouldn't tell me what company he was with or why they were calling. If this number doesn't stop calling my i will file a complaint of harassment.

They call but don't leave a message.  I won't answer a call that won't display a name.  They have called here before and keep calling back.  They don't seem to give up easily.

Keeps calling about a non-existent debt claim against me, for over a year.  Such a scam.

2016 and they're still at it!

Received a call asking for my maiden name, which I haven't been for 6 years, on a cell number which is only 2 years old. If it is a debt collection agency, I've never had debt, never had a student loan, car loan or a late payment in my life. I just told them they had the wrong number.

Got a call from this number. They appear to be a scavenger debt collector. They called on a debt from about 25 years ago that was, if memory serves, paid. I told them to go screw themselves because, even if it were legitimate, the statute of limitations would have expired. They got really ugly and I told them to go screw themselves again. I was then transferred to a "supervisor" to whom I communicated the same information. She hung up on me. Call me back, sue me, do whatever. I'll will counter-sue for damages in an amount to be determined at trial and seek punitive damages in front of a jury.

BEWARE, though, generally speaking, if you make any sort of payment (even a token payment) to these scavenger collectors then the statute of limitations begins running again. DO NOT pay these type of people anything if you have reason to believe you either do not owe the money or that the statute of limitations has expired. You may want to consult an attorney in your area to see what the laws are in your jurisdiction. And if you get sued you MUST file an answer and appear in court or they will get a default judgment and levy your wages or property (including bank accounts and vehicles). They count on people ignoring the summons. Do not ignore it.
