they called saying they saw my resume online and asked if i wanted a fulltime career but i didnt get the name of the company.

I got the same message and I thought they said American Income.  Not sure

i got the same call and the said it was american income life.  She said she got my resume off line and her boss was interested and wanted to offer me a job.  she set me up with a interveiw.  I don't know if it is a scam or not but i googled the address she gave me and the number is different then what showed up.  Let me know if you find anything else out.

Got the same call, however she did say Surace Smith of AIL. Looks like a Union Life insurance company.

Got a call today about a job opportunity. They want you to sell insurance. It's probably a commission based only.

Got a call from the number but no message left and if I do not recognize a number I do not answer it.
I am also on the national do not call list.

I googled the number and found this forum. They keep calling me and will not leave a vm. It's annoying I guess I'll pick up next time they call to ask why they don't leave a message- to me that's scammy

I recv'd call from American Income... they found my resume via Monster. She asked if I was still looking for a job. I said yes. She stated they would be setting up an interview.  They work for unions - about 30,000 of them. Obviously there are many different jobs but she had my interests narrowed down to 2 categories.  It's not telemarketing, or to my knowledge not a scam. For me the call was legit.

Insurance companies scour the internet for resumes and call you for a SALES position!  Just more telemarketing at it's best!  NOT interested in sales or working for a insurance company.

I got a message from who they said was the office of Dr. Surace-Smith and she said her boss was interested in me due to the fact that he saw my resume. I have already been fooled by one caller offering me a job and it turned out to be Man Power.  ( a temp service ). I don't like people calling me to offer me a job that has nothing to with my chosen profession. I do not do sales and I will not work for a temp service. Why do people pry on other who are looking for a job?

I will add to the above posters and offer the following advice: Insurance companies that call you when you never applied to them are at best a dead end pursuit, and at worst a pyramid scheme. They all operate the same, by pretending you are just what they are looking for. You get there and find out that you need to pay them for "training" and if you do stick it out they expect you to put up impossible numbers, all while trying to get more suckers like you were to go through what you are currently going through. There is no magic job that finds your resume off the internet, so ignore anything that has the word insurance in it.

got a call from a woman said her name was Janean said her boss saw my resume on the internet and wants to set up a interview. She said the company name was American Income Life. Asked me to call her back to set up an interview.

My son has been looking for a job, posted resume on Career Builder. He got a call yesterday. He has an interview Friday morning. We will find out then if this is legit.

I just got a call from this lady and she did say she was with American Life and wanted to know if I was in the job market.  Since I have been in the job market I have gotten tons of calls and emails just like this - they are looking for insurance sales - usually a 100% commission based job.  Its a cattle call type interview and no one is ever turned down if they say they are willing to do 100% commission-based sales.  They download every resume off of Monster and Career Builder.  Personally, I'm not into commission-based sales or sales at all, so I consider these calls spam.

Did not answer even tho a local Columbus OH number, because I did not recognize it. They left no message, but by reading all the msgs above, yes, insurance companies will call and offer u a job after reading ur resume on-line. I got 4 emails and 2 calls within 2 weeks of posting my resume-all insurance companies! Here's what tells me to never work for the one that apparently just called - the caller ID indicates "Unavailable" as the caller. If you have a legitimate job opening, wouldn't your company name be displayed when you call people?!

I got a call from American Income Human Resources Department. My caller ID showed the number and that it was from Columbus OH. When I called back the phone rang a couple of times, then an automated voice said "goodbye". Funny thing is, it was a SUNDAY! Who would be calling me on a Sunday?

I keep getting calls from companies that have nothing to do with my professional field! Sometimes they use the strong-arm tactic and "push" you to comply with their request for an interview by not giving you time to answer them. I'm sick of these scumbags!!

I got a call from these people today.  their posting fooled me into thinking it was not a sales job. liars. try all they can to get you in the door

called me on 3/5/13 yesterday left me voicemail, could not figure out the name she gave butshe told me that she found my resume on line and if i'm still interested in a full-time career she want to set a apointment me up for interview. this is around 11am eastern time,she said that she will be leaving in 15 min. and that i could call her back tomorrow if interested.
