Got a call from 614-715-4190 saying I was getting error messages on my computer. Wow my computer talks even though I got rid of my wifi !!! Wow!

Someone calling claiming that they were a tech to help fix problems with my computer.  DO NOT BELIEVE, THIS IS A SCAM TO GET YOU TO ACTIVATE REMOTE ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER!

Hahahaha... those creeps.  Glad I didn't answer my phone.

Calls often, I do not answer because I don't recognize the number.

Some call center called from 614-715-4190 and let me know that he's a technician from Microsoft trying to help me fix some thing on my computer as it's sending messages to them. Being in the Information Security industry, I didn't comply. He wanted me to press some buttons on my computer asking for me to press the button next to the windows button. Well, I told him I didn't have one. Anyway he kept persisting that I need help. I told him my computer doesn't need help. I told him it's a unix variant. He said just do this...Then, he told me I'm not being serious. I said he's on a Phishing expedition. I told him how can he relate my phone number to my computer where it is not even related in any bit. I never registered my phone with my computer. He finally got fed up and told me to [***] off. LOL! What ever you don't give anyone information about your computer or do anything to allow them to get access to your computer. Don't go to any virus or website they tell you to go to as they can download malware from these sites and compromise your computer. Don't tell them what type of Operating system you're using. I told them a a unix variant as I wanted to see if they knew anything, but they kept talking. These Phishing expeditions are dangerous and are ways to compromise your computer and ultimately get access to your network or company's network. Many times they'll get you to a PC fix-it program which is expensive and is full of adware or other malware and charge you hundreds of dollars. Sometimes it may be ransomware which encrypts your files and they make you pay lots of money to unlock them. By the way, this guy was of Indian (Asian) accent.

SCAM!!  "Microsoft Technical Support" my @$$! Always Indian, usually male, and very insistent! I don't usually answer but was still asleep since it was 7AM!!!  I told the guy if I could reach through the line and strangle him I would since it was perfect sleep-in weather here!  Have tried to report them but like a whack a mole game they change numbers constantly and have even spoofed local numbers and used them.  My advice:  Don't argue with them, they will cuss you out!!  Hang up the phone and don't answer when they call back a couple of times over the next few minutes.  Then they will leave you and go pester another poor soul! I WISH THEY HAD SCAM AS ONE OF THE CALL TYPE OPTIONS.

At least your call was at 7am, ours was 4am!!! I'm sick of them calling, its been going on for so long now.

I received a call from this number, I did not answer. After reading this, I'm glad I didn't. Thank you all for the info.

Beware this is a scam

I received two calls from this number today, didn't answer, put on my block list

Continue getting calls from this number.  If I pick up, there is no answer so I hang up.  Will stop picking up.

The wife got this call from this same number, an guy with Indian accent claiming to be Microsoft support wanting to know whether or not computers were on. The wife flatly said she wasn't answering any questions and hung up the phone.

Any way to stop this jerk?

I started getting messages on my computer that my software wasn't genuine and then I received a call from 6147154190.  I tried reverse lookup to identify who was calling without success.

Received call twice within an hour. Didn't pick up either time. Been reading that it's a scam to "fix" computer issues.

This person is a scam artist, who is operation outside of the USA.

This guy keeps calling my phone and says my computer is giving error messages. Told him it was my husbands computer and he could talk to him. He wanted to know what time I got off work!! Called husband and he found this site and I will block this creep from calling my phone.

BEWARE: Scammers looking to remote into your computer. "John" (I think, he had thick Indian accent) from "Geek Squad in Columbus, Ohio" stated they have received many error notices on your windows computer. Unfortunately, I have a Linux computer. LOL!
