this number called in the middle of the day at work while i was in a meeting!!!!!!!
  who are these people, they have nothing to do than calling different numbers??

I got a call here for a Maria Castillo. People have been calling my number for the last six years trying to get a hold of her or an Eduardo Casteron. I'm Irish and French, my last name is French. What's the confusion? It's most definitely a collection agency.

I have been getting phone calls from this number repeatedly and so have my elderly parents.  This is MRS - a rogue collection agency for sure.  They say they are collecting for Chase, but Chase has their own in house collection department.

MRS is a collection agency that Chase uses once their own collection department can't collect a debt owed.  This usually happens after a debt has gone over 2-4 months past due.  They do this to cut their costs incurred when trying to collect a debt that someone doesn't want to pay back.  They also do this to make it easier to take the debtor to court if they can't get the debt repaid in a timely fashion.  I know this because I'm currently dealing with MRS because I had a Chase credit card that I owed over $1000 on.  Even credit card companies like Citi Cards and DiscoverCard use outside collection agencies once a debt goes unpaid for a certain, set amount of time.

Keep gettin these calls..says hang up if not for u on voicemail then givespersonal info. Really? I mean who is gonna hang up if this is on their voicemail. Seems a little wrong.

This company keeps calling my cell phone.  They are trying to reach my father who is 83 yrs. old and on a fixed SS income.  They need to give it a rest!  They won't reveal why they want to get in touch with my father so I don't think I have to give him the message!

You're making it worse by not letting them speak to your father. The reason why they need to speak to him first is because they need to have consent in order to speak a 3rd party. Basic compliance law. By not attempting to work with them interest will pile up and the debt could end up in court.

Folks, this # belongs to MRS, a collecvtion agency used by Chase for delinquent accounts that Chase has written off. I have told them to contact my attorney in the past to resolve my account, but they keep harassing me by calling & writing, sometimes both inh the same day!! They aree goinfg t5o hear one big earful from my attorneys now!!!
