rec'd two calls from this number; once I called back and they asked my name, which I gave, they said that they were a collection agency; however, when they checked for my name, they did not have me listed and told me it had been a mistake!  This is Frost Collection agency I believe.  It is interesting as I have no outstanding bills. Seems that they have information incorrect, or perhaps they are trying to steal identification on ndividuals.

Someone named Leslie said I owe $50. to a medical center.  I said please send me an itemized breakdown of what you claim I owe.  She said they sent me a statement last month. I did not receive one.  She insisted that I pay the $50 and I said not until I get a breakdown of the charges.  I have insurance and there is no reason I would owe anything.  She argued with me so I hung up the phone.

left no voice message. Would like to know who is calling my cell.

Left message on answering machine for me to call back. The lady identified herself as Kelli Pruitt. Did not tell me what company she was calling from or what she needed to discuss with me

Sonya Hambrick left a message asking "the parents of [my son]" to call her back at 1 800-264-7156 x367. This was a legit collections call, as I owe bills to Raleigh Radiology for an MRI he needed ... but lost my job soon after.

I was getting lots of calls from this number telling me I owed money, and that I had a bill that was over due.  They couldn't even tell me what bill I owed, so I asked for a statement.  Well the lady very rude so I hung up.  They would not stop calling, so I had my attorney look into it.  He told me do not give them any info or any money they are a scam, and when someone does give them money it does not even go to the business that you owe but it goes right into the pocket of the Frost Collection Agency who bought your name and info so they can try and make money off of people.  That is just so wrong.  So don't give them anything they are not a real collection agency they are a 3rd party and it will not help you or your credit.....

I received a call from this number when I called back it said put in an ext but no message was left for a return call

They've called me 6 times today and I haven't answered, they haven't left a message or anything.

Just got a call from this number claiming that I owe money to a doctor's office (that I had paid). They refused to send me any written information about the alleged charge and insist that I pay them over the phone. He would not even say the name of the Collection Agency that he worked for.

Yeah, i got a call from this #.  The lady said her name was "Heather."
Didn't say why she was calling; too bad for her.

She needs some phone manners.

I missed a call from this number and when I called back, they did not say from which company they are working for. Just told me that I owe 157 something dollars from an Anesthesia which I do not know what hospital. When you call after office hours, the answering machine does not even say what company it is you called. - it just tells you that their representative are busy at the time, so just leave your name, number and brief message... It doesn't sound like a legit collections company to me, A legitimate company  usually leaves you message.

Scam all the way. Trying to steal information.

I get hang-up calls from this number all the time!  If I answer, they hang up--if I wait and see if they'll leave a message, they don't!  GRRRR!  I wouldn't even care, and in fact would prefer, if they are calling to tell me I owe someone money--I mean, I don't owe money that I know of, but if I do, and they can tell me to whom I owe the money, it should be simple to verify and pay the dang bill!  It makes me crazy because I may or may not have some bill out there that I'd pay if it existed and I knew about it--these people just call continually and hang up!!!!!

They call all the time, they leave no message. I don't answer to unknown numbers. I screen all my calls. So if they don't leave a message to bad for them. I am thinking about changing my number and keeping it private. I have at least four other unknown numbers that call without leaving a message.

If they ever do speak to you, you have a legal right to written proof of who you owe the money to. This proof must include the account number, the date of service, the name of the company you owe, their address and contact number.
If they refuse to give this information to you, then they are some kind of scam. Don't pay over the phone. Insist they send you a bill in snail mail. If they refuse tell them that you are going to hire an attorney. Let them know that you will fight for your rights.
Check your state laws, in NC you can record any conversation that you are a party to without the consent of the person you are talking to. So if you are in NC record these people. This will be your evidence should you need to sue them for harrassment.

just out of curiousity

I keep getting calls from this number too.  I looked it up on wiki and it says its in NASHVILLE TN.  I have never answered but called them back 2day.   Someone named Kelly answered and asked for my number.  I asked who she was calling for and she replied it was several companies.  I told her I couldn't give her info without knowing who they were.  She said "thank you" very rudely and hung up.  The police said don't ever call these numbers.  They can be other countries that exchange to, collecting info and the next thing u know u have a $1,000 phone bill.  It lists as a bell south number and the police couldn't even tell me who they were.  And they have awesome capabilities of finding this out.  Be forewarned....could be a scam.  Maybe call your phone provider explain the situation and they can block it.
