- beltfedThis is from a collection compay called FCSI- Franklin Collection Services, Inc. . They will call several times a day with various numbers but will not leave a message. If you talk to them they are very RUDE and will threaten you with legal stuff, etc. This numberl however, states that you have qualified for a "discount" and if you pick up the phone they will "help" you. Yeah... right! They then go from "good cop" to BAD cop! 'You do this or 'else"!
- Caller: FCSI
- Call type: Debt collector
- John BluthI also got a call from FCSI from this number, looking for someone who apparently used to have the number. FCSI does this periodically, they always say they will take the number out of their system. My guess is that someone then does a periodic review of files, and just puts the number back in. Hard to believe that there can be a low-life collection agency, seems almost redundant, but these scumbags are the lowest of the low.

They say I have a past due account with AT&T from 2009. I haven't had AT&T since 2002. I called AT&T and they show no past due payments and the account I had in '02 was closed, clean and free of any debt owed.
They think Franklin is some company trying to scam me.
I just ignore the calls (there's an app for that).- Caller: Franklin Credit Collections

- PENELOPE DURBIN| 1 replyReceiving calls from this number even though I'm on the Do Not Call Registry. Please put this business out of business.
- Caller: do not know
- Resident47 replies to PENELOPE DURBINNo one else reading this page can ''please put this business out of business'' on your behalf, and that frankly is not happening based on your single complaint, which does not indicate illegal activity.
The federal Do-Not-Call registry exists to help enforce the Telemarketing Sales Rule. Please note the operative term ''marketing''. A debt collector is not a sales person. Here are the DNC service terms you were supposed to review at registration time:

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm - Resident47Whether you are called a debtor or some collector thinks you can flush one out, you have rights and options. Many are simple to exercise if you only learn how. You are granted control of how you are contacted, the right to dispute debt claims, and the means to sue violators at low cost. The FTC and the CFPB can start you on your homework. See also if your state laws grant additional or stronger rights.
