This number called me and it was an actual woman wanting to know if it was me. I guess they want to confirm an order and that it is coming regardless if you answer or not? Has anyone ever been charged with anything on their bank accounts because of them? I'm a little leery of this.

received a call from a woman about my debit card...she had the last four digits. she didn't ask to verify anything, went into an offer of $120 gas voucher and some other shopper's program.  Even if you don't sign up for the program you still keep the $120 gas voucher.  When she asked if I had any questions about the offer, I said, "I decline at this time"  she hung up immediately.  This a scam.  My concern is how did they get the last four digits from my debit card.

I recieved the same call.  Woman said first visa when i again asked what card she said mastercard.  Yet she knew the last for digits.  Claimed a 120 dollar gas rebate would be coming and asked if i still lived in ***.  I was later disconnected.

This is still happening. The last number it came from was (616) 980-1154

Just happened to me to. Same spiel. They told me I had won the gas rebate, kept trying to say my 'Visa' card in close proximity to the company name 'Vista' to make it seem like they were from 'Visa', then told me I was being transferred to verify my information for where to send the prize. The 'offer' was initially an extra bonus, then turned into a $30 a month plan I was being signed up for, and every time I asked what it was they recited their marketing slogans describing how it'd make my life easier and 'save me alot of money on things I was already buying,' every time saying everything but what it was they were signing me up for.

When I told them I didn't want whatever it was, they wouldn't let me go until I told them why. I told them I didn't want whatever it was they were selling me, or giving me, even if it was a prize that I'd be missing out on, because they were trying so hard to sell it to me that it couldn't possibly be good, and that I'd lost all confidence and trust in anything they said to me. She kept asking why I didn't want it despite having told her, and I kept saying that was the reason, and the fact that she didn't like the reason or it even being justifiable or true had little to do with it being the reason, and that I didn't want to 'buy', sign up for or receive whatever it was they had to offer, even if it granted eternal youth and happiness. She didn't like that and kept spouting the marketing slogans I'd already heard, so I told her I didn't want anything from anybody even remotely related to them, to be signed up for anything, and that I was even going to stop making purchases for that entire day because of my lost faith in humanity.

If a charge shows up on my credit card despite all that, I hope they implode.
