Some butt-wipe called our company from this phone number this afternoon and asked for the boss by first name, falsely implying, of course, that he has an established relationship with the boss to the point where they're on a first-name basis.  When I told him the boss wasn't available, that he works on the road, the guy rudely hung up the phone without another word.  Oh yeah, THAT'S how you make people feel inclined to do business with you.  I immediately called the number back and got a message that the "Magic Jack customer" I was trying to call was not available but I could leave a message. I did; politely but irately letting said butt-wipe know what I thought about his hanging up the phone in my ear just because he couldn't talk to the person he asked for and told him not to call again. (As if posterior pustules like him even care.)

I just had the SAME thing happen to me.  I just called back and got the same message.  So I left a message and told him he was rude to hang up on me and that I would appreciate it if he does not call our office again.  HOW DO PEOPLE GET AWAY WITH THIS??

Exactly what they said, how do people stay in business & get away with this rude behavior?  Shut the line down!!!

Same here.  Called - asked for the boss by name and then when I let him know he was in a meeting he hung up in my ear!  Grrrrrrrrr  Called number stupid Magic Jack recording.  I did not leave a message.  From now on when people ask for my boss and I don't know the number I am going to try to keep them on as long as possible before I tell them if he's available.  I am going to get all their information and try to weed them out without them hanging up on me first!  Game On!

The idiot called our company again today.  Same thing as before.  He asked for the boss, was told the boss works on the road (could I help him?) and rudely hung up on me.  This time when I called the number back, there was a prerecorded advertising message for MagicJack.  I'd like to perform a little 'magic' on these 'jacks' who pull this stupidity and then hide behind the anonymity of VOIP.
