got a call today but did not leave a message. possible debt collector don't know which one yet.

i got this call too.. and i said hello and waited for  them to respond but they did not say aything for about 50secs and then hung up!..i dont know what this was about

I was getting phone calls between 5am and 7am and one day I picked up the phone and there was no response for about 20 seconds and then the woman finally clicked onto the connected line and said "oh, I must have the wrong number. When I called the number back my call was rejected by the receiver.

I got a call today and they confirmed my name and said 'was xyz office' before i could reply he went 'oh, i think i got a wrong number'.

When i called, it rings but no one picks it up or it is constantly engaged.

Got a call about half hour ago but didn't answer; no voicemails either. I'm in CA and don't know anyone in Boston.

I also got another call yesterday from some random number I also didn't pick up.

What's going on here?

Got a call, when I picked up dead air and then disconnect after another 5 seconds. No idea who.

My work phone rang around 8am California time, showing (617) 475-3241 as the caller. I didn't pick up and no one left a message.

I received a similar call but they tried to change my name to say they had the wrong number. I'm reporting this to Boston because, I've been receiving similar strange calls like this for several months

Is it just work phone numbers being called?  It could be telephone number verification.

Received call from 617475-3841. Said they were calling from AppDynamics. Woman with heavy accent answered the call. she said she was calling on behaolf of someone and was asked to call my boss and transfer the call.

AppDynamics is an application management group.  http://www.appdynamics.com/  They probably got the number from some trade group or show which folks may have attended.  Or from former workers you may have had the phone number previously.  This is probably a tech sales call.

I receive a call from this number a minimum of 2 times per month.  Woman with an accent calls herself "Elizabeth" and claims to be calling on behalf of her boss "Ryan Duffy" from a company called "SafeNet."  I have asked SEVERAL times to remove my boss's name from their call list as he has no desire to speak with them.  Next time she calls, I think I'll call her bluff and ask her to transfer me to Mr. Duffy since my boss would like to speak with him.  I am very interested to see what happens next!!!
