I am receiving hang up calls from this number.

I am also receiving calls from this number with no messages.

It's probably a predictive phone dialer.

And I'm not sure why they don't leave a message.

answered - they hung up when I said hello.  Using my biz number, not the number supplied to them.

I'm a BC grad and I'm getting this even freaking weekend. They just ring then hang up, WTF?

They really should be leaving a message at least after a certain number of calls...pretty unprofessional

I just received a second call from them this week, and as many of you have reported, when I answer, it hangs up.  I'm calling the school tomorrow.

The fund-raising calling machine lets the phone ring 3 times - if you don't pick up, it will hang up. If you keep ignoring the call, they will keep calling. To get them to stop, you HAVE to answer and kind of get angry and tell them you want to be taken off the list. Make sure they take you off the list, not just put you on the list that says 'call back later.' But don't be too angry b/c that's not nice. It's just students who needed a part time night job. :)

I didn't answer this number when it showed up on my caller ID as I live in the Midwest and suspected that a call from Newton, MA was a BC fundraising call.  Thanks for validating.  I agree that when you do answer you should be nice to the caller as it is a BC student working to raise some money for school or living expenses.  They are not, as one poster believes, all spoiled babies.  I don't give to the school as a number of family members are still paying off loans from attending BC some years ago.  Any donation I would make to the school goes to them instead.

Just pick up the phone!  I did cause I got sick of the calls, and just said no thank you to the student.  And then hung up.  I did this in March and haven't gotten a call since!
