I got a call from that number and first they asked it I was Monica Hicks, who, used to live here 5 years ago and has since moved. He asked for my name and asked for my husband.

Got a call from this number asking if I was another person or their relative. I said no, so they removed my number from their call list. However, I use to take care of this woman & her financial business & she passed almost 4 years ago. After doing some research I found out that this number belongs to a telemarketer/debt collector located in Newton, MA. Also the phone location says Boston, Cambridge, & Newton, MA. I KNOW this woman had no debts to be collected, as I paid ALL her bills & also ran her death in a local newspaper for the required time frame. BEWARE of this caller if they say they are a debt collector. It's a scam!

Thirty two calls left on my phone's missed calls list just yesterday!!! Never heard of these people!

I just received a call from them.  Told me if I wasn't 'NAME NAME' to not listen tot he message.  Said it was from Credit Collection Services and I could access my record at www.warningnotice.com by using the personal record number they quoted me.  Went there and it's a legit debt collection agency.

Scam looking for money for a bad debt allegedly I owe. Funny I owe no debts. Disregard these calls.

Says it's a business call about an attempt to collect a debt.  I believe that the laws say Don't call on a Sunday.

Got a call from this number stating it was an important business matter for, and said my husband's name.  Reading the posts, I see it is regarding a collection agency.  We have not debt.  SCAM.

Thank you for your very informative post.  I just got a call from this nbr and ran it through the internet and ultimately ended up at your message.  I have blocked the number on my phone.

My phone service provides a block service for such phone calls.  Get on phone as if to make a call, press *60, you will hear a message which isn't important.  What is important is if the last call received is the nbr you wish to block, simply press #01#.  The recording will recite the blocked nbr back to you.  If it is not last call received, press # ...type in full nbr w/area code, don't need 1 in front...and press # again.  The recording will recite the blocked nbr back to you.  Hope this helps.

This person call and asked for me, I don't who it is.  The caller ID just stated "Private Name".  I feel that if someone is going they should have the phone give their name, especially if they are calling from a business.

We keep getting phone calls from this number 617-581-1960 comes up on the call id as CCS Compenies and CCSoffices.com. We do not answer any of these calls. Will block this number, I'm sick of them calling.

I read some of the messages on this an other pages.  The most common statement about this company is that it is a Debt collection company this I believe is the correct answer to who or what this company is and the PH. # 617-581-1960!  I am not sure what the name CCS Companies stands for but I did returned the phone call and on the automated answering service that answered it did say that it was a debt collection and that all information would be used to collect the debt!  Then it said a person would be coming on to talk to you.  Which happened and they asked some question which I did not think I should have to answer but did answer some of them but not all!  She said that she was collecting a debt for some Fire and Casualty Insurance Company!  I told her that I did not owe them any money and that I have never done any Business with them.  She then read off a Name and Address and asked if that was mine!  I told her that it was not my address!!  I never did tell her my address but on second thoughts she knew my phone # so she should have known my address!  Anyway she said that she would remove my Phone number from the file!  Hope that she is telling the truth!  Time will tell.  I do have a common name so I guess I can kind of understand why I got this call.  It is just to bad that these collection companies do not follow the law when it comes to collecting debts!  Now this one is one that has come the closest to doing that!  Like I said I do have a common name and have had this problem before!  I have gone so far as to turned them into the Commerce Agency  in Washington D.C..  They did do and investigation and  all of the ones that I turned in said that they did not call and would make sure that no one was doing it wrong in their company!  That is what I would except them to say or something like that!  The government then called me back and told me this and asked if I wanted to go on with it!  I have always told them No as long as the phone calls stopped!  Which they did every time!  This is the first time that I have not done that!  Anyway Yet, will wait and see if the calling does stop.  As I said this is a collection company that has come the closest to following the law!  On the other side of the story it sure would be nice if everybody would just pay the bills they owe.  I do understand that things happen that can make it impossible for people to do that!  Still the ones that just do not pay their bills even when they can are the problem and the reason for debt collectors!          

I received a phone call from this number stating, "this is a business alert....." to which I hung up immediately.

This is CCS & they are a debt collection agency. They called us & my husband called back after we did some research. I told him to ask who we supposedly had a debt with & it was a Victoria Fire & Casualty for the period of July-September 2014 for auto insurance. We've never dealt with that company & have had the same auto insurance for 5-6 years now. It seems like the scammer is not CCS but rather some of the companies that enlist their services. We are still going to check our credit report to make sure nothing shows up on it.
