Picked up & got no answer.

Had a missed call, no msg, did not call them back

Called once I didn't answer.... they immediately called right back and I picked up to nothing but dead air.. grrrrr

Got a call on my cell, I didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number, and they didn't leave a message. I used reverse lookup online and it says this number is a landline in the Brighton/Allston area of MA and belongs to Verizon New England, Inc., central office. (I live in Chicago suburbs.)

I received a call from this number and answered - since I am originally from a 617 area code. It was an autocall telling me that I could "lower my interest rate on my credit card to 6.5%" and that this was my "final notice." It gave me the option to press 1 to speak to an operator, but I got dead air. I definitely don't have any credit cards based in Boston. Very strange.

Received call at 8:30 am on no-call promo registered cell.  Missed call and called back. Got busy signal.

Phising Scam. "Opportunity to lower my interest rates". Pressed 1 and got hold music. Connect to a live person that seemed more confused than I was.  When I told her I was responding to "Option 1" she asked me for my name and telephone number. I said "shouldn't you already have that since you called me?".  She asked what the Option was that I responded to and I said "You know, the Credit Card fraud scam you are part of.."
Hung up

Answered. Call fromt "Account services" informing me of being able to lower my interest rate. Tried pressing 2 to discontinue further notices but the call ended.

I received a call from them saying it was my final notice to lower my interest rate on my credit card.  When I asked which credit they were referring to they said we work for what seemed like several different companies.  Then they asked for my security code.  I said I had bad reception so could I hang up, he said he would call me from his personal line.  He immediately proceeded to call me several times from another line (458) 201-0453 which I didn't answer.
