"Kevin Barnett"  has called NUMEROUS times this morning from (I quote) "an attorney's office in Boston". I talked with him on the first call. He advised that I owe an unspecified amount (right!) for a payday loan that I took out in Nov 2011 (nope) and that he will file legal actions in court, with the police and with my job (huh?).  I informed him to send me any information on this supposed debt and he said he didn't have to (maybe not in India).  I told him to file away and hung up. He calls back every 2 minutes, now that he knows there's a person on the other line, and asks for my manager.  Finally, I gave him the telephone numer to the local police department and told him to call my "manager".  Now he calls back and hangs up ever 2-3 minutes!

Don't fall for this crap! Even if they have your info, it's likely NOT legitimate.  They steal info from applications that were never completed, or legitimate applications and hundreds of other places!  No legitimate company will REFUSE to advise you on when a debt was incurred and how much it is!

SCAM! I got the same call saying the same thing....I told him if he has papers on me...then to come pick me up.............

I just got the same message and when I tried to call them back there was no answer I know for a fact I do not owe nothing therefore I know this is a scam...If you have to resort to stealing and lying about who you are then you are not of a legitimate service

I got a call yesterday asking for my grown son. The guy (from Inda?) said it's an emergency about a case against my son's social security #. He didn't ask for his # or address and I didn't offer it. he calls back today and asks if I gave the msg to my son. I did but I didn't have the phone #. I told the guy that as he gave me the # I was doing a search online and it came up this site. I didn't tell him what it said. I told him it didn't match up with it being Detection Financial Fraud. I still can't find an exact link giving that name. Anyone get this type of a phone call?

This is not only a SCAM but an extortion attempt! Do not answer the call. He left me a voicemail stating that I needed to call him ASAP or else face legal action and calls to my employer. He stated it was a $350 payday loan that I had taken out and that when they tried to draft payment there were insufficient funds. He asked if I was going to take care of this or if he was going to have to take legal actions.  I told him I did not have such an account. I stated to do what he had to do and that I had 11 years experience in the legal field and he could not do what he was stating he would do. I hung up.

This is where it gets CRAZY! They then proceed to call my work number which is an elementary school. They were rude and called continuously! Then they "hijack" the schools number and proceed to call the school, my cell phone, and a nursing home in Texas harassing another poor soul.

It is a scam! Do not answer or fall for their lines!!!!

I got the same call today at my job.  They keep calling my direct line then they went throught the receptionist and I answered it.  He told me the same thing about a payday loan.  I asked for information he said it was for a loan on Nov. 11.  Help! I don't know what to do.

File a report with your local law enforcement, file a report with ICE, stop answering the phone to any unknown/suspicious numbers, watch your bank account closely, and DO NOT agree to send money.

Thanks.  I finally had to get the communication security department at my job because they
were harrassing me constantly. First on my direct line and the the main number.  They somehow
blocked the calls.  Thank goodness! It's quite now.

This company has been very disrespectful. He ended the call by saying "tomorrow will be the worst day of your life!" who does that? who says that? this company needs to be stopped. I do not know them. Haven't  heard from them since the last time they tried to harass me. He said his name was "Dominique Simpson" but he had a middle eastern/Asian accent. He was even yelling at people in the back ground and it sounded like a bunch of people in a warehouse yelling.....i need help to stop them. thanks

This caller was harrasing people in another department wanting to talk to a fellow employee. Rude and obnoxious just like the other posts said. I work in our Information Technology department so they forwarded his call to me. I told him I was the person he was asking for and he sounded surprised. He asked me what my birthday was and I told him no, you called me what is your name. He told me Richard Oliver but then he hung up. I don't think he has called back. I wish he would. I wanted to mail him a money order. I think it defeats his purpose if you don't get mad and upset.

Caller states his name is Larry Johnson from DFF in Boston, he is verbally abusive and continues to call a place of employment and will not stop. The employee has even talked to this "Larry Johnson" and refuses to pay the money that Larry Johnson states is owed. These people are insane and have the ability to tie up all the phone lines at once, this is a business.

The message I got from them was from the Indian guy saying his name was Jimmy. And he was looking for people I never even heard of saying something bout fraud and that my number was under investigation. And that someone need to call back immediately. And they said not to take legal action. I called.back and told them I didn't know the people they were looking for and he acted like I was lieing. Then he told me he would have them stop calling me. I was still wondering how they got my number so I called back and he would even talk to me and hung up on me. I filed a police report and they told me to put a fraud protection on my credit.

i have been getting the same calls but from a Dominic Simpson and Bill Anderson with an Arab accent!!!

I will take any information you can give me.  It is getting tried of them calling me at work.  Please let me know what i can do.
