Received a call on my Verizon cell phone from 619-216-0536.  No one was on the other end.  Very irritating!
I live in Chula Vista California.  Don't answer if you see this number.

Received the same call and called back to a disconnected number

I get called from the same number. Have blocked 6 similar numbers that have been calling for the last couple of months, around 5 times a day. No one has ever been on the other end until today. They mentioned something about renewable energy source and when I said I wasn't interested and to please take me off their caller list, they hung up.

Called several times a day for 2 weeks now. Renewable energy solar scam.
I waited about 30 sec (must be a robocall) and a person got online. MR. Arbrose he said.
Warned him not to call again - blocked the calling number ( they use different ones - all from the 619 area. )

As noted by dp, these people use a variety of phone numbers. 6192160528 called me about a dozen times. Before that, it was 6192160900. Now, they have switched to 6192160536.

My list of blocked numbers is growing longer. All their calls are blocked and  go to my spam folder, so they are just wasting their time. I don't even hear their calls.

FWIW, I've filed a complaint with the attorney general and the feds. I've also contacted my local congressman to ask for more robust do-not-call legislation. A recent Forbes article says that the technology exists to trace a call, even one with a falsified caller ID.  The article goes on to suggest that telephone customers could be given a special number to key in (for example *99) during a spam call to automatically file a complaint. That might shut these people down.

Same experience as others, only once was I connected with someone live who also mentioned "renewable energy group" or something similar.  I told the caller that I had solar and he cursed and hung up on me.

Who are these idiots who keep calling to irretate us frequently? There is another number from 619 area code who call frequently and do not talk when responding.

Same as you all state.  Multiple calls, no way to stop them.  Hope the feds finally take some action on this.

We've been receiving the same calls 6 times per day.  We can sue this company I believe it is A1 Solar, after informing them we have requested to quit calling.  Under the Consumer Telephone Protection Act, these jerks can be charged $500 per call of harassment.  We've been called 6 times per day for 30 days... imagine what kind of $$$ that would produce.  Perhaps that might shut them down!

I'm right there with you! They have been calling for for about 3 months.  The first time I spoke with someone and told them that I am no longer living in San Diego, and to not call me anymore.  Now, when I answer nobody is on the other end of the line.  Is there an official place to report telemarketer harassment like this?

This number has called me every single day for over a week straight. The Caller-ID name and phone number is spoofed. The phone number used to belong to "Kinderland Montessori School" in Chula Vista, CA. The school had to change their phone number due to the spoofing of their phone number, and the resulting plethora of daily angry call-backs. This Caller-ID spoofing problem is rampant and it has been for a long time. I absolutely do not even answer the phone at all anymore unless I recognize the Caller-ID. I screen the voicemail if the caller actually leaves one and then I pick up, or, I call back if a message is left when I'm not home. Not answering unknown Caller-ID's has actually helped quite a bit as they eventually give up when you don't ever answer. There's just so many other scumbags doing it too though. It never fully stops.

This # continues to call our office with nobody there and then justs hangs up. super annoying when we are so busy trying to help our patients. I tried to call back and # is disconnected. WTF??? How can we stop it??

I am so tired of these people calling my cell phone.....isn't there some action I can take?? I've only had a live person twice and both times asked to be removed from the list and they just hang up. The rest of the  time there is no one at the other end. One person said they "blocked" the caller - how do I do that?

me too! I got the same phone # calling me, and no one was there, so i yelled at them to stop calling to see if they could hear something.

Millions of $ of tax money was spent by the NSA to monitor all calls. Too bad they won't use that system to nail the bad telemarketers. At least then we would be getting something for our tax money.
