BEWARE!!!  Guy calls my number and says who is this....well you called me.  You can hear him and 50 other guys from India in the background...scamming and reading a script.  He says he is from the Legal Department of the IRS...I go oh really...that's scary...what part of India are you calling from.  He hung up.  I called back 4 times...they continue to hang up when I ask a question then some guy goes what is your name and social security number...REALLY?  Told them I was calling the FCC and reporting on every scam site I know...wow he hung up!

I just recieved a call saying I haven't paid taxes in 2 years and I should have been contacted by the police that the IRS has a criminal suit against me and that if I didn't penny or whatever but I will be going to jail for 3 years freaking me out I'm glad I seen somebody else had the same call I feel a little better

Just received a message to call 619 378 0050, this person stating she was a officer of the law for IRS. That I have a criminal lawsuit against me, must call immediately.  This is a scam right? I called that number and the man had heavy accent.

irs scam telling me i am going to jail...didnt ask for anything just kept telling me i was going to jail...

Had the audacity to leave a mesaage on my voicemail first. Then when I call back, the person is very dry and only says thank you for calling the legal department. We got into it only because I am asking how can my number be removed and he wanted to talk to me like I am his child. Way off, dude had the wrong one. He better be glad he only got heated and not rip your head of for acting like I am supposed to fall for the scam you are running.

Got a call from 619-378-0050 today and they left a voicemail.  First part of message was garbled and couldn't be understood.  Last part said either myself or my lawyer had better call them back or I could expect to go to jail.  Guy had a heavy accent.

From the posts above it looks like this is one of those IRS scams.  Know it's a scam because the IRS does not call you.  They will only contact you through the mail. So if he is saying he is from the IRS he is lying.

Just got this same call...female with accent left message...IRS has a criminal suit against me....idiots

Just got a call from 619.378.0050 at 7am. I didn't answer, but called back, When I called back, a man with a heavy Indian accent answered the phone saying "IRS Legal Department, what's your case#?" Since I don't have a case #, I immediately Googled the phone number and found out they are scam artists. I let them know that I was on to them, and he hung up.

I got the same call from what sounded like a older african woman whos name was "Alex Watson", so she said.
When I call back a guy with a pronounsed indian accent answered, when I ask for Alex Watson he said it was him, I could hear half of india in the background so I hanged up and report it to the IRS.

The IRS does not call anyone. All done via mail. Usual annual scum scam surrounding tax filing etc.
