Next time they call answer the call with LAPD POLICE DEPARTMENT MAY I HELP YOU..worked for me..never called me back

Used fictional charity name of "Children;s Leukemia 'Society'" to solicit money for "gift baskets" to children hospitalized w/ Leukemia.  

Sounds similar to a scam that promises to deliver children's books and magazines to hospitalized children.  They keep the money, no one else gets much of anything...

These clowns decided to see if I'd fall for their scam.  I never answer my phone, unless I recognize the number.  Call me twice and you're placed on the Selected Call Rejection Service, which accomodates 12 ever-changing Bozos, working my last good nerve.
Thanks for the calls.  Surely there is some creepy Telemarketing Hell for awaiting all of you, in which you try to eat dinner and the phone keeps ringing and ringing and ringing and ringing......loudly!

Bogus scammer.  Don't answer or deal with these creeps.

This man claiming to be from the "Childrens' Leukemia Society" called and asked how am I today?  Not very well, I said, since you just woke me from a nap.  He apologized and I said don't ever call me again.

caller ID says San Diego ÇA.  I don't recognize # so I don't answer.  No message was left.  Last month I put our # on "do not call" list.   Wish that would start happening... we get these calls throughout the day every day.

The Do Not Call list basically put most of the legitimate telemarketing companies out of business, so the bulk of those still in business are fly-by-night operations that ignore the rules and just make calls to play a prerecorded message (illegal) to every number regardless of whether it's on the do-not-call list or not (also illegal).  It's against the law, but they know the law isn't enforced with any real sincerity.

The few legitimate companies left now contract out for political/charity calls, which are specifically exempted from having to obey the federal Do Not Call list.

Good luck with the "do not call" list.  I renew my number every 5-6 months and I still get the darn calls.  I just don't answer #'s I don't know. Still is annoying though.

These people have been calling me for almost a year now.... same old, same old.  I am also on the Do Not Call List and it does not work.  Tired of the calls.

They call and don't leave message

Child Leukemia Foundation - I hope they do not continue to call me.  Saying no or hanging up doesn't stop the calls.  I looked up other posts that identified this group as fraudsters - I don't know if they are or not, but I DEFINITELY no longer send money for unsolicited charity phone callers - I definitely do not want to encourage them.......obviously, some people are still contributing, and as long as they do, we will continue to be called, 24/7!

Called today. Left no message.

Not recognizing the number and seeing San Diego CA on my phone I picked it up and asked if I could help them.  They started their speech about children and leukemia and I broke into that and said, I am on the Do Not Call List so why are you calling me?  She apologized and said she would take my name off the list and said have a nice day...to which I did not answer and hung up the phone.  And then I thought, what list?  They shouldn't even have a list with my name on.  

After answering the phone and not getting a response, I stayed on the line.  You could clearly hear someone hanging up.  Won't make that mistake again.  For now on they can listen to my answering machine.
