Claims to be "Mr. Day" from the Law offices fo Barrett and Associates. Threatening a law suit on an "old paper" credit card debt. Will not send any paperwork veryifying any attempt to collect debt. Wants high dollar payment or will be taken to court.
After searching for Barrett and Associates in the LA surrounding area....it doesn't seem to exist.
"Mr. Day" calls from various phone numbers....all seem to be landlines in various places from San Diego to Los Angeles.

Hi...I for some reason keep getting calls from a Mr. Day as well. It was from an old (4 yrs) payday loan that I took out and paid on the following payday. He does not want to provide any information but threatens to call the bad check court. I also did not locate a law firm called Barrett and Associates in San Diego or Los Angeles. Its for sure a scam.

I been getting calls from same people over last couple days.  When I ask for them to send the required proof that federal debt collection law states they must, he hangs up on me. Lol

Mr. Day is what is known as a bad scam artist. He and a female associate claim to be from a law office that simply doesn't exist. His first mistake is in using the same name and number for repeated scam attempts, I simply looked up his name and number and found from multiple sources that he is a fake. His second, and slightly larger mistake, is that he got the wrong damn number and is looking for someone who I've never heard of. Ive received several calls, one a day, and I finally called him back and told him hes a dumbass. We'll see if he calls again. He  wastes his time, I gain amusement. It's a lose win situation!

Pone call from Miss Evans concerning someone name Nikki Hines.  I returned call but since I have noone here by that name they did not want to speak with me??

THIS MR. DAY IS DEFINITLEY A SCAM AND I TOTALLY AGREE A PISS POOR ONE AT THAT. HE SHOULD DEFINTLEY FIND ANOTHER OCCUPATION. BEWARE AND DONT EVEN BOTHER TO GIVE HIM OR MISS EVANS A SECOND OF YOUR TIME. THEY THREATEN AND HARASS AND REFUSE TO EVEN EXPLAIN WHY THEY ARE CALLING OTHER THA.N TRYIN 2 SCAM CONSUMERS AND SAYING YOU OWE AN OLD DEBT AND CRIMINAL CHARGES ARE PENDING UNLESS YOU MAKE PYMT ARRANGEMTS.WHAT FOOLS! NEVER NEVER GIVE ANYONE YOUR FINANCIAL INFO ON PHONE ESP. WHEN THEY CANNOT PROVE ANYTHING NOR WILL THEY SEND YOU ANYTHING IN WRITING.
