Called my cell as well and left no message

4/5/11 called my cell, left no message.

Identified themselves as American Express when I called, or atleast one of their minions.

I received 623-492-8037 American Expres on my caller ID box, .  This is the 2nd call today -the first was at 12:04CST p.m. (954) 503-2843 (Florida ), NOW THIS ONE  from Arizona!  I don't have this card.  They are "phishing" for information to steal your money and your identity.  I didn't answer the phone -no reason to.  So much for being on the Federal and TX State "Do Not Call Lists!"  Now, hope that helps you to be vigilent and not waste your time or energy with these thieves!  Have a Blessed Day!  :)

American Express called

Called my cell. Waited for message, but did not leave one. I did find out it is a landline in Pheonix,AZ.

Its amex my account is overdue and they keep calling

It's a phishing scam for American Express numbers.  When you call it back, it asks for your AE account number, but I don't have one.

I too received calls from both of these numbers and also 801-945-9061.

I don't answer these calls either, and I don't have an Amex.

Said they were American Express but wanted security information such as mother's birthday, etc.

Caller id from american express and ask me for a 15 digit account number, I dont even have an american express account. they ask for someone else that I never even heard of

I feel your pain.  I sent them a small payment, along with a promise to send balance, as I'm self employed and customers are holding their money. I finally received two fairly large checks, but opening a new biz account, (take a full 10 business days before it's completely set up, and I explained it to these people, but they are just disgusting. I have five numbers where they continue to call and think I'm going to pick up.  I heard from a friend they are as disgusting as Bank of America.  BOA does some pretty underhanded things. They sent me a post car with my account information, my balance's (on loans I used to open my business) and the card was delivered by the US postal dept to the incorrect address, giving everyone the ability to see this.  If I had the money I would have sued them for stupidity!
The jack rabbits got bailed out by us, the taxpayers, and they dislike people owing them MONEY! Do they have an inkling what's going on with this stupid economy and lack of leadership in Wasington, D. C.  Before Obama got into office I had a 810 credit score and not a problem in the world. Once he was elected, all hell broke loose.
Shame the credit card people and low-life-banks could be paid by the money Obama waste daily!  He's spending our tax dollars as if it grows on trees, while we struggle to find food, pay bills, etc.  He should go down for Treason or fraud, as he's no leader.

I have been receiving a call non stop from this number as well as another number from another area code.  I searched online.  They are both affiliated with a known AMEX scam.  I am actually an AMEX user, but I know that they do not ask for account info or bank info over the phone.  I told the foreign man on the phone that I would not be giving him any information as I am aware that he is part of a scam.  I then hung up on him.  Hope the calls stop soon!

I recognize this area code, its from Phoneix Arizona.  I keep getting all these calls from AMEX and I dont even own a credit card at all! I wish they would just leave me alone. If anyone has any idea on how to stop these calls Please post it. Thank you!

If you knew how to do enough math to read a calendar and look at whom did what, you'd see it was Bush admin thing bc republicans let banks do whatever they wanted. They praise Money (oops, they call it god)!!!!

"We have an important matter to discuss with you.  This is not a sales call. Please call xxx-xxx-xxxx".  I don't have the number they told me to call but I just verified with American Express that this is not a number they use nor a number of a collections arm of Amex.

got two calls from these frauds today. ask for an "OLD" name from the past.  i said you have wrong number.  little middle eastern worm apologized only to call back a couple of hours later.  left message to call 800 number re american express (which we have never owned).  I have blocked them on my phone.  it's always these middle eastern men.  why don't they get a job for gosh sakes!
