i got a call from a dwayne jones he told me i owed a loan which i forgot to pay i checked my records and i foound out a loan pending which was of $600 but he settled it for $489...and also got a reciept so dont think they are a scam,.

You are a lying sack of crap! These guys are swindlers and will use ILLEGAL intimidation tactics and lies to try to scam you out of your money! If these guys call, mess with them a little bit if you want (It's a lot of fun when they get pissed when you call them on there bullcrap) but DO NOT GIVE THEM A CENT!

This number is used to leave messages from several 'law firms'. Each time I get a call from these people they identify themselves differently. Sometimes they say that they are officers of the court, sometimes they say they are investigative officers, sometimes, they are 'legal' representatives of the law firm. The name of the company changes as well. It s amazing how many different positions one person can have in the same firm that changes its name on a daily basis.

Some of the personnel calling from this number use threatening and abusive language. The calls are incessant to the point of being harassing. I have explained to the callers that the bill they are calling about was included in a bankruptcy. I supplied the attorney's name and number as well as the address. I even asked for a mailing address to forward a copy of the discharge, but each time the individuals refused to provide an address and just shouted that they would send me to court and hoped that God would have mercy on me.They still refuse to quit calling.

Now, when  I see any unfamiliar numbers,  just let the call go to voice mail. When checking the voice mail it is usually this company just calling from a different number.

I have also received calls from numerous "foreign" sounding men...all of which i can hardly understand...they all say that they are calling from a different company or law firm. They call me at work and harrass me and my co-workers even after I have told them not to call me. I have a lawyer involved but at the moment we are having trouble locating where they are from. I asked for an address and phone number from where they are callling from and the caller said they are calling from richmond virginia..the address provided shows a house thats for sale. They have threatened us with jail...even telling my boss that they will arrest me at work. bahahhahahahahaha! It involves some sort of pay day loan is what the caller told my husband however the bank they said it was deposited in is incorrect, therefore I know they are lying. If you listen when they call there is alot of background noise so you know they are calling from the same place even though the numbers are different....They are very rude people and often try "scaring" us in many different ways...

These guys are SCAM. Mess with them, I even acted surprised and spoke with their screwed up accent.  This is well known operation, they change locations and phone numbers.  You can even hear other of their bretheren in the background. DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY

I've been receiving numerous calls from this number so today 8/19/11, I finally answered the call to a very rude man telling me that I'm going to be sued because of a PayDay loan that I took out a in May of 2011 in the amount of $200.00 which is very much untrue and I told him just that, so he preceeded to shout out my social security number and address, saying well is that not your ss# and address, and I told him sir I don't know how you've got my information but I've never taken out any PayDay loans for $200.00.  I then asked for the name of the company I supposedly took this loan out at and I was given the name PayDay USA telephone# 1-800-686-0324 which I've been trying to contact but it keeps telling me that all circuits are busy.

This Payday usa is it out of california cause when I first started to recieve my calls that who it was from I have informed them I have contacted the fraud investgation in my state and they guy told me to fk off he dont need to talk to the police..... So a froegin accent and last name smith.. I am doubting it

Ha!  Payday loans!  We have 2 people on payroll.  We are lucky to do payroll, let a loan.  Yes, this is a scam!  Can we call them and tell them we are a law firm and they owe us money?

Interesting that i spoke with an Indonesian woman who could barely speak English BUT is named Samantha Brown !!!

This number calls my cell and leaves a message, then before I can even pull my voicemail up, is calling my job. I told the 'Law Offices of Howard Fletcher' that if this were an actual legal matter, I would've received a certified letter since that is standard procedure for legal issues. They insisted I had a loan from Payday USA and I informed them I never received any money or conformation from that company. Once I told him to stop calling, they hung up on me. Furious, I called back and threatened my own legal action against this group of people for impersonating a law office. The person who answered said my ssn very fast and hung up. These people deserve to burn in Hell for messing with innocent, hardworking people.

I got a phone call at my job from a man, when I returned his call he hung up. I called the number back and he told me what was my phone number. I gave him my address and my name. If I owe, I have no problem paying a bill. However, I did not apply for any payday loans none this year. I just need you man to stop calling my job. You have my cell phone number. You called my job again today for the second time, which I feel is harassment, and I asked you to not call my job under no circumstances. I am not trying to avoid you; however, do not call my job. Send me a certified letter with a copy of the bill and I take care of it. Thank you man.

You can't tell them that by a free credit bureau act that they cannot call your work phone.

I received a call from this number yesterday 9/6/11 at 5:36 PM from a gentleman by the name of Dwayne Jones stating he is from the law office of Howard Fletcher. I received a similar phone call 2 weeks ago from a different number and from a different company about a lawsuit against me for a payday loan. Unfortunately, I never received money from any company. I spoke with my attorney and he said to request proof in writing. As I am waiting for a return phone call again from my attorney, this guy wanted to confirm my name and Social Security number and I said I do not feel comfortable giving this information to you and he knew exactly who I was. I did not confirm any information with him but my address to receive this paperwork I had "signed".

I would like to know how  these  people got my information and would like to sue the company who gave out my information.  I have never taken out a payday loan

it is fraudulent i contacted a company they were claiming they were going to report me to and they said this is currently being investigated by the ftc, bbc, that it is fraudulent.  do not confirm your information block your numbers and call local law enforcement they have to be stopped.

I Received a call from this number today. They said it was a call from Howard Fletcher Attorneys at law. Richard claimed he was calling from California and that i received a pay day loan from Payday U.S.A.  He had all my information to include SS# full name address etc. Obviously my information was sold to these people. It is a Scam DO NOT give any money to these people. I do not owe any one anything.

that is the same person that just called me today I blacklisted their number from my phone they called me 21 times in a row then tried calling from a blocked number which I don't answer either telling me that my job and home will be affected for something I never took out. How do you get rid of these people?

I too have been receiving numerous calls from this number. It started a couple of weeks ago, give or take, and I called our local police agency then. The man on the phone called my cell and work numbers incessantly, even threatening our registration clerk if she did not connect him to me. I too would love to know how to make this stop!!
