Calls me claiming to be with Platinum Plus Rewards having to do with my Mastercard. They ask for me by name, tell me my shipping address (which is also my billing address) to verify, and even know the last 4 digits of my card.  They tell me that I've been a great customer and they want to send me a free gift.  The only catch is, I have to pay for them to send it to me.   Now I might have fallen for this if not for one detail.  I've had the card since 1998 and only had the number they are calling on a year.  The number they are calling is in no way related to any of my credit cards as I use my cell phone number to handle all of my business. I get this call from a few numbers and they are all the same pitch. The cost to ship my "gift" is anywhere from $1 - $6.

THIS IS A PHISHING CALL.  DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO. THEY TELL YOU THE LAST 4 DIGITS SO YOU THINK THEY ARE LEGIT.  THEN THEY TALK YOU INTO GIVING THEM YOUR CARD INFO TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING OF YOUR "GIFT." ONCE HEY GET YOUR INFO, I WON'T BE LONG BEFORE YOU ARE A VICTIM OF A FEW FRAUDULNT PURCHASES.

TELL THEM TO TAKE YOU OFF THEIR LIST AND NEVER CALL AGAIN.

I got this call yesterday and the lady on the other end sounded like she may be from a middle eastern country if I had to try and place it.  She said everything that you noted and I listened for a little while but the first thing she did was 'confirm' the last 4 digits and to me, that sounded very strange becuase I have never recieved a call wanting to confirm that unless they were actually the issuer bank and/or place of business wanting to confirm a recent purchase.  As soon as she told me there was all this 'membership' crap to get discounts on everything under the sun and that all it would cost 'me' is a $1-$2 charge since I have been such a 'good' customer and that's when I told her that I didn't want it and she got an attitude and kept talking right over so I hung up.  She then repeatedly called me back 3 more times and then I turned off my phone!  HAHAHAHA  I actually thought it was hillarious!  Anyway, she just called again and (I assume it was lady) and I just let it go to VM.  Just thought I would share.  :)

I have had that recently, with a different tack. But didn't save the phone number. This time I did. I searched for 'phone 626-273-8241' and found your link.
Now I am going to report it!
