Calls me claiming to be with Platinum Plus Rewards having to do with my Mastercard. They ask for me by name, tell me my shipping address (which is also my billing address) to verify, and even know the last 4 digits of my card.  They tell me that I've been a great customer and they want to send me a free gift.  The only catch is, I have to pay for them to send it to me.   Now I might have fallen for this if not for one detail.  I've had the card since 1998 and only had the number they are calling on a year.  The number they are calling is in no way related to any of my credit cards as I use my cell phone number to handle all of my business. I get this call from a few numbers and they are all the same pitch. The cost to ship my "gift" is anywhere from $1 - $6.

THIS IS A PHISHING CALL.  DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO. THEY TELL YOU THE LAST 4 DIGITS SO YOU THINK THEY ARE LEGIT.  THEN THEY TALK YOU INTO GIVING THEM YOUR CARD INFO TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING OF YOUR "GIFT." ONCE HEY GET YOUR INFO, I WON'T BE LONG BEFORE YOU ARE A VICTIM OF A FEW FRAUDULNT PURCHASES.

TELL THEM TO TAKE YOU OFF THEIR LIST AND NEVER CALL AGAIN.

I got this call yesterday and the lady on the other end sounded like she may be from a middle eastern country if I had to try and place it.  She said everything that you noted and I listened for a little while but the first thing she did was 'confirm' the last 4 digits and to me, that sounded very strange becuase I have never recieved a call wanting to confirm that unless they were actually the issuer bank and/or place of business wanting to confirm a recent purchase.  As soon as she told me there was all this 'membership' crap to get discounts on everything under the sun and that all it would cost 'me' is a $1-$2 charge since I have been such a 'good' customer and that's when I told her that I didn't want it and she got an attitude and kept talking right over so I hung up.  She then repeatedly called me back 3 more times and then I turned off my phone!  HAHAHAHA  I actually thought it was hillarious!  Anyway, she just called again and (I assume it was lady) and I just let it go to VM.  Just thought I would share.  :)

I have had that recently, with a different tack. But didn't save the phone number. This time I did. I searched for 'phone 626-273-8241' and found your link.
Now I am going to report it!

This PLACE has called me 6 times today only 3PM ! Getting ridiculous.

the same number called me today and that lady asked me to confirm my hubby's card's 4 last digits. how the hell should I know. I told her to call tomorrow, she'll find him. lmao. now I know what is all about... she has more numbers and offers either: 100 $ for gas or 100$ wal-mart gift card...

the other number she calls from is: 9097599199

The same people called my number about 9 times today asking to speak to my boyfriend. They were trying to give him a gas card from Wells Fargo. Our numbers are completely different and not linked in any way so why are they calling me to get a hold of him? They also call from 760-204-8488

The Phone number, 626-273-8241, called my MagicJack phone number...3 times within about the past 2 hours now.  Upon initially seeing the number and its out of state area code, I suspected it might be one of those Phishing calls, so I did not answer any of their calls.  I've been getting other out of state calls from different phone numbers on my MagicJack number for the last couple of months now...which is why I do not answer any calls outside of my caller-ID list that have any inkling of being suspicious; for, after researching the suspicious number, I can always call the number back if I find that it is not a malicious number.  Anyway, I hope the above info helps.

They called saying we had earned enough points on our mastercard to get a $50 gas card. They had our street address and both phone numbers on our cell phone account. We had to threaten them with legal action before they would stop calling.

Said with Amex. Called 11 pm. Knew it was not. Hung up when I asked for info

It is ridiculous how often they call, and tonight at 11:00!
Then they are rude and talk over you.

They have been calling me for the past week.  They have my mailing address and last four numbers of my visa. They claim they want to send me a gas card and wal-mart card.   Mostly sounds like Asian women on the other end.  Tonight they called at 10:45pm.

It is ridiculous company ,has called me 17 times in the morming.Ridiculous I am work.

This is company is ridiculous and fraudulant ,be care full ,with this company,don't give information.

Called me to get my shipping address and info. Claimed they would send me $120 in free gas money. Wanted to continue the verification process, but I denied them to continue. They started ARGUING with me, demanding I give them my info!!

Told the caller off, and hung up.

Just hope they didn't get what they needed to complete a fraudulent transaction!
