Nothing but a scare tatic to get you to buy their system. It is a California number that has no knowledge of what happens in my city or the state of Michigan.

Sales call saying, "do not hang up, this is not a sales call, we are calling because there has been a break in in your neighborhood blah blah blah...." I traced the company and it is Elite Security Systems. Their website phone number is 888 729-3548. Feel free to bombard them with calls!

Regarding the post made by Jae. I have also had this number call me, after doing some research i found it is not Elite Security. At least the Elite Security associated with the number 888-729-3548 I have spoken to the managers there and they have told me they do not make out bound sales calls. After looking around on the world wide web i found there is a call center in Arcadia, CA is really the company making these calls. I have received the same call from Elitesecsys shown on caller ID. The phone rang at least 10 times.  Based on what I was reading as the call came,  I did not answer.

Card Services illegally spoofing someone else's phone number.  Wonder when the feds will get off
 their lazy, worthless rear end and put a stop to this crap,  I'm on the do not call list but I've come to
 the conclusion that's where these azzholes get their numbers.

Received a call today and they left a message saying they could help lower my credit card rate. Funny, I don't have a credit card. I am on the national Do Not Call list and it seems that is where they get the numbers to call. Wonder if I can remove my numbers from the do not call list. Such a joke!

I am on the do not call list, and these people continue to call me telling me not to hang up - but several homes in my area have been robbed. That is when I hang up. I am getting tired of these calls.

Yes It's a scam! Look I don't answer calls that I don't recognize. You people complaining are at least
smart enough not to fall for this, but what about the people who are not? I wish the government would
step in and stop these people. The reason they don't is they get money from certain groups out there
that sell phone numbers. My number is unlisted so think about it. How did they get it? Phone company,
doctors, dentist, your job, anybody who gets your number can sell it.

Just got a call to my cell phone. Didn't recognize the number, so didn't answer but they did leave a partial recorded message on my voice mail.

The people behind this call most definitely bought my number from whoever is using 253-236-2044.  That number called me several times over a few days.  When I finally decided to answer to see who it was, there was no one there.  The purpose of that call was to verify that my number was "good".  Once I answered, they knew it was a valid number and then sold it to these people and at least two others who are now constantly calling my cell.

Just got a call from them about a credit card opportunity or something like that.

Caller ID said "Credit Card Services." Person has to be foolish to answer these calls.

Called several times and I added it to reject call list.  The number called back 11 times in a row.  Left a voicemail about security systems due to break ins.  Complete nuisance.

This was a call about lowering my credit card rate and "was my last notice as it relates to the stimulus".  Usually I get these calls out of a call center in Boca Raton Florida.

This group of companies uses the telephone numbers of other companies to keep the public from identifying them.  Write your congressional rep and get a federal law with real teeth in it so that these guys can no longer hide by moving operations from state to state.

Traditionally they like to work out of Florida (Boca Raton especially) since Florida doesn't have the laws needed to stop this type of fraud.

The number your call id gives you is NOT the actual phone number of the con artists that are calling you.

Getting hyped up over this call is stupid. All you have to do is call the number back and press 1 they will remove your number from their auto dialing system. They are selling a product and have no idea who they are talking to on the other end. Yes it is poor practice and annoying but as many say if you do not know the number don't answer it. A little FYI many of you have a cable account you get your phone service from they have options to block numbers from ringing your line use them. They are also the ones who sell your number to third parties. Your phone number is not your personal property it belongs to the service you pay to borrow it from.
