Called my cell, I answered, man asked my name, hung up.

This number called me ask for me and then hang up. I reaserched the net and found that its a land line located in Chicago with carrier Level 3 communications when I contacted them they stated that the number did not belong to them that It belonged to an XO communicaiton company.

A man calls, ask if I am (first name, last name).  I say "yes", short pause, so I look at my phone and my own phone snaps a picture of me!  This really pissed me off.

Same thing happened for me

Got a call on my house phone. Guy with an Indian accent asked for me by my first name.  Couldn't pronounce my last one.  When I replied, "speaking", he hung up.  I immediately got a call on my cell phone from a "private caller".  I did not answer my cell.

go the same indian speaking man. tries to get you to confirm your name. don't confirm and say, "what company are your from?".  he repeats himself two more times and I repeat the same thing, "what company are you from?"  he then hands up.

i believe he is phising through the resumes placed on job boards that identify phone numbers: cell and resident numbers at times.

I just got the same call. Indian sounding woman, asked me to confirm my first name and hung up. I called the number back, and there is a recording saying people are busy. I waited just a minute and hung up. I just updated my resume on CareerBuilder last night. Could have something to do with that?

I received the same tried calling back and says busy starts ringing then same thing over and over...

Same thing happened to me just now.  Does anyone know who to report this to in order to get this practice stopped?

I'm the latest victim.  He called me an hour ago, asked my name and disconnected.

Just got called as well.  glad my camera is broken on phone!

I just got the same call asking for my husband I just hung up on the Indian man I knoall of my husbands friends so I knew it was something messed up

Just got a call from some guy, and when I answered the phone he said,. Hello, Sandy?  I said, speaking, and he hung up.  We need to stop this nuisance!!!

Just happened to me. Indian guy asked my name three times and then static and hung up. [***] losers.

Just got call on home phone didn't answer.  Then, called my cell and my wife answered and ask who was calling.  Very thick Indian voice and when I answered and said speaking he hung up.  When call # back it rings and then says # is busy.  This called is up to something possibly posing as headhunter to get personal info.

Of course this is yet another indian scam - like we don't have enough of our own...
