Called me on February 2, 2012.  It was a recorded voice telling me they could lower my credit card interest rate.  Said to press "1" for a liver person or "9" to be removed from list.  I didn't press either.  My phone is on the "do not call" list so they never should have call me.  They should be fined and put out of business!

Same here.  Regarding your credit card, no problems, lower rate, etc.

I get one of these same per week, just from different numbers.  Dont understand how they get away with it. I always report to the FTC DNC and get confirm emails back from them.  They  dont have a handle on them yet.

Received the lower interest rate scam this time from "Jennifer of Consumer Services" on my cell phone.  This violates the FCC rules that bans telemarketing (i.e., often scamming).  I recommend that those receiving this file an official complaint to the FCC.gov/complaints.  I did this a.m.

Got a robo call from this number and (724) 595-7130 AND (281) 968-0362 on my CELL phone within the same 10 second period! All three voicemails were exactly the same - no identification of who it was, reduce your rate, press 9 to remove your number...

Looks like a shady outfit that purports to want to lower your interest rate on credit cards.  Will call over and over and over, despite my pushing the "9" to discontinue calls, and the"1" to talk to someone and register my complaint of their continue calls.

    Here we go again
I just got a call from 'name at Consumer Services' about your credit card.  There is no problem at this time, but you need act quickly to reduce your interest rate.  Press '1' to talk to someone or '9' to be removed.  I pressed '9'.  Let's see how many more calls I get.  I, too, am on the DNC registry for both my land line and cell.  This call was on my cell!

You are getting these calls because the persons behind the company that does this does not care about little unenforceable things like DNC.  Until and unless the feds get serious about attacking and charging these firms, this will not only continue, it will accelerate.  But Wait.....this means the government would have MORE power, and then they might make me stop freeloading on the health care system and actually have to take some responsibility for my life.  Never mind.

Recorded credit card scam phone call. I got a call on my mobile phone and voicemail from this shameless outfit.

They use vishing (voice phishing) techniques, including a robo dialer with software to pretend they are calling from somewhere else. A woman's voice says that you do not have any credit card problems, but are eligible to lower your credit card interest rates. And then it asks you to press "1" to speak with a live operator.

Total scam. They ignore the Do Not Call lists. Do not give them any credit card info.

Add this number to your blocked list or add the number to your phone list with "No Name" for the caller, and set the ringer to silent. The call will still show up, but you will not be interrupted as though it was a real phone call.

Funny thing - I also get lots of calls on my home phone (also on the DO NOT CALL list)  from a different scam outfit - using recorded calls - offering a special for carpet cleaning. So there are many scam outfits doing versions of these recorded phone calls. I hope the FCC and other Federal agencies get their act together and figure out how to identify and prosecute the offenders.

    Disgusted!!!
Got a phone call (2:47pm) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.
(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.
They, of course, left no message.

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for over a year now.
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)

    I'm going to
    http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
    AND to
    https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
and see if that can get the government to work for me, and stop these calls.
(Yes I will go through all those steps.)
    We should all pile on.

Same thing everyone else reports: constant calls despite press 9 to remove from list. It is my opinion(and experience) that if you press 1 or 9 that they will Tell FTC that you requested more information from them. I am attempting to call block with my " OOMA TELO " system. If you are NOT aware of them then google them. Units can be purchased Buy.com, Best Buy and the like. It costs for the unit, under $120 plus about $8.00 for 3 months for those governm't junk fees attached to phone services for all. Plus you can call block until they try from another number.
