These guys call me often, in the mid-afternoon when I'm not home and never leave a message.  Today I was home, and answered the call.  A recorded voice told me I'd won a $2,100 trip to a resort in Cancun.  I hung up after hearing them say I was to push No. 1 to claim my prize.  No doubt a scam, and there ain't any free lunches, always remember.

Call after 9pm this is too late to call anyone.
Children are in bed and we are resting after a busy day.
No message sent I just see # and push off let answering machine.
Pick up calls after 9pm.

keep calling, no message.

This number called 12:00PM and started saying "Congratulations, you have won....."
I didn't want to waist my time or my minutes, so I didn't wait to hear the rest of the message.
I hung up.

Received this particular recorded call several times over the last months, from numbers both in Canada and the US (this one from Illinois). Listened to the spiel once,(have "won" varying amounts toward a vacation in Mexico and/or Florida) talked to the marketer once out of curiousity - seem to be offering a certain amount off a stay at a specific resort. I'm familiar with travel business and knew it wouldn't be much of a deal anyway! (not that I would ever accept one of these idiotic calls anyway).  Flogging timeshare, I believe.

A record message was first and it said "you have won a $2500 vacation in Cancun ballot was obtained at a Zellers, The Bay(and 1 other store that I can't remember).  Press 1 to claim your prize."  I was then transferred to a live operator who confirmed my name and that I was over 18 years old then she transferred me to a Travel Specialist.  Once again name and over 18 confirmed, she asked if I had a valid credit card(didn't ask for number at this point).  She confirmed there was space available at the Ocean Spa Hotel in Cancun but I would be responsible for airfare.  I knew this was most likely a scam but continue to listen while I looked up the hotel online.  It has received recent reviews in 2011 mixed ratings but one said there are COCKROACHES.  Before I hung up she also notified that I also have won a trip to Orlando Florida.  At this time I told the person on the phone that I wasn't interested and requested that they take me off ALL of there calling list.

Got a call claiming I won a trip to Cancum Mexico for 4 persons.  I spoke to a lady who verified I was over 18 years of age and had a valid credit card then I was on hold for for 9 minutes until I was cut off.  They hung up on me and no call back. What a scam.  Although I knew it was too good to be true I still thought it was rude.

I received a recorded voice mail message notifying me that either a family member or friend entered my name in a draw at Canadian Tire and I won an all inclusive trip for 4 to Cancun. I hung up as I know no one entered my name for a draw.
