i recieved a call from this number, but when trying to call back the server is busy or say i dialed an incorrect number

When I answered this call they said they were a credit repair agency and that they knew I had outstanding medical bills. When I told them they were wrong they hung up on me. Two days later they called back saying they knew I had outstanding personal loans. Everytime I try to tell them to take my nuber off there list they hang before I can finish. This is a scam to get personal information.

this number has been caling the home phone almost every day for a month now and at approx same time of morning...don't answer your phone!

How to you block specific telephone numbers?

Received 11 calls in the past 9 days; 6 in the past 2.  No message on machine and when answered, hangs up.  This is phone harrasment, pure and simple.  STOP CALLING!

How can telephone calls be made from a telephone number that when called states you have reached an invalid number. If it is valid to make calls it should be just as valid to receive them. Someone has to know how to determine who this is and put a stop to this ignorance.

this  is  another   attempt to  try  and leach personal info thank God  for caller ID   if not  for that   I would be  answering  the phone   every   hr  or so   from these  jerks. I never  answer  and they  don't  leave  message.

Received call from 631-652-1575....when I answered I could not understand what the person was saying and when I asked them to repeat they hung up. Caller ID said New York but gave no name or anything else.I average getting this call every 2 or 3 days. Who is this and what do they want? I am fed up with this kind of call. What can be done?

Called my number 3 times today, 8/17/09: 2:48 p.m.; 7:19 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. There is never anyone on the other end.

Called and hang-up three times!!!

This number has called repeatedly and does the same things stated above.
First they asked for me,  I said it was me, they asked about past due bills, I said I have none, they hung up. Did this 10-12 times...
I finally stopped answering, then they would call 2 or 3 times in a row and never leave a message.
I started answering again and told them they have the wrong number and to please stop calling. They hung up before I could finish the statement.
I finally lost it on them earlier today and told them never to call me again, and he just said whatever and hung up as I was saying it.

They have called me 12 times since that incident earlier today and hang up everytime as soon as I answer.

I am pretty sure its just on a dialer and they (the employees) can't do much to stop it and hangup once they realize they have already called, but they must be short on numbers or something.

When I call back, this number is not in service....

I would guess some scam as well for personal info, so if you get a call from them, don't give them your info!!

I receive calls on a daily basis from this number. Today I had enough of it and filed a complaint with the FCC. Perhaps if enough folks do this we can get calls from this number to stop. You can file a complaint online at: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm.

While the stories vary on what happens when a call is received, there is one common denominator: NONE OF US WANTS THE CALLS.

Maybe the FCC can help. I used them once before concerning calls that were coming to me from a Florida in a similar fashion as this number. It took a couple of weeks but the calls did stop and the FCC, while they could not give a lot of details, learned that the calls were a bunch of scam artists who are no facing federal prosecution.

Fortunately when this call comes my system cuts them off after one ring. The number is recorded. It must be an auto dialing system monitored by somebody as the system will attempt to call 3 times before it discontinues. We might as well face it, these calls will continue from various different numbers and area codes. They scream the freedom of speech amendment.

there was nothing on the other end when i picked up.  i tried calling the # back but said number is no longer in service.

i am so damn tired of this number calling me!!!
