A man want to verify my work number and ask  me to give him my fax number. He keep mumbling something when I asked who he is and why he call me.

I had the same thing happen.  They called my work and wanted my bosses information.  When I asked if I could call them back the girl hung up on me.

On 5/19/08, I got a call from a male with an Indian accent calling from 632-859-0400.  He said he was calling from "E-commerce" to update the Federal Contact Directory.  I asked him to repeat himself and he did but stated he wanted to verify my work phone number.  When I question what the Federal Contact Directory was he hung up.

Received a call this morning at my work number at 7:20 local time.  I wasn't there to get it.  No message left.

Received a voice mail this morning.
No message, was tagged with this number.
(I will NOT call back.)

indian guy called wanted to know if this was my correct telephone number and and was my title still the same.  I acted like someone else and told them I didn't know and they asked me could they get the correct number and I accidently hung up on them.  I got curious when I called back the number and it said be sure you are dialing the right number that made me even more curious so I goggled the number and lo and behold what I stumbled on too the many e-mails experiencing the same thing.

We have to get the word out, I don't know what its about but know it can't be nothing good.

Work at a government office, just got a call from this number a couple minutes ago. Female with an odd accent, asked for the director of the office by name...hung up immediately when asked what *her* name was

Just got a call wanting to verify my contact info for the Federal Contact Directory. The lady with a South Pacific accent said she was from SBI.

You can't return the call to 1-632-859-0400 because the number is actually +63-2-859-0400 in the Philippines. This is a phishing scam brought to you by the same jerks that flood your email account with spam... pirates and thieves wandering the outskirts of the digital empire.

632-859-0400. Foreign male asked for my bosses correct title and fax number. I barely said anything and they just hung up.

Got this one too. Haen't answered the phone though, I am cooking that time. Who the heck are they?

Just received a call asking to confirm if this was the number for "...." all I said was "speaking" and they hung up.  I work for the Federal government and they have called me at work.

Same story.  Male caller with heavy accent (could well have been Filipino) asking if I was the [job title]for the Secretary of [Department].  I said no, asked what his business was, acted obviously suspicious.  I wouldn't cooperate so he hung up.

I have received a call from this number for at least 3 of the last 4 years. It happened again this morning. Rep claimed to be calling for the Federal Contact Directory and hung up after I asked too many questions. Phillipines location others mention seems dead-on, as the caller had an accent like that of other native Tagalog speakers I have known.

The Casino 21Nova has a support number that starts with 632 i've seen.. (Sorry for bad english)
