- Call type: Debt collector
- DarbyThis is a collection agency. They bought your debt and want to profit. Don't take the call. Client Services Inc is the company. There not going to take it off your credit report so just contact the company that sold the dept to them.

- VasthiThey called me a few days ago...Didnt answer because I didnt know the #...
- T.As stated above, this is a collection agency. You do not have to deal with these people. The company buys debt from other companies and then uses scare tactics to try to get you to pay. Most of what they tell you over the phone is illegal, as far as my dealings with them. Check this site - http://www.pueblo.gsa.gov/cic_text/money/fair-debt/fair-dbt.htm and use it to your advantage. Here is a small excerpt of what they are not allowed to do...
What types of debt collection practices are prohibited?
Harassment.
Debt collectors may not harass, oppress, or abuse anyone or any third parties they contact. For example, debt collectors may not:
* use threats of violence or harm;
* publish a list of consumers who refuse to pay their debts (except to a credit bureau);
* use obscene or profane language; or
* repeatedly use the telephone to annoy someone;
False statements.
Debt collectors may not use any false statements when collecting a debt. For example, debt collectors may not:
* falsely imply that they are attorneys or government representatives;
* falsely imply that you have committed a crime;
* falsely represent that they operate or work for a credit bureau;
* misrepresent the amount of your debt;
* indicate that papers being sent to you are legal forms when they are not; or
* indicate that papers being sent to you are not legal forms when they are.
Debt collectors also may not state that:
* you will be arrested if you do not pay your debt;
* they will seize, garnish, attach, or sell your property or wages, unless the collection agency or creditor intends to do so, and it is legal to do so; or
* actions, such as a lawsuit, will be taken against you, which legally may not be taken, or which they do not intend to take.
Debt collectors may not:
* give false credit information about you to anyone, including a credit bureau;
* send you anything that looks like an official document from a court or government agency when it is not; or
* use a false name.
Unfair practices.
Debt collectors may not engage in unfair practices when they try to collect a debt. For example, collectors may not:
* collect any amount greater than your debt, unless your state law permits such a charge;
* deposit a post-dated check prematurely;
* use deception to make you accept collect calls or pay for telegrams;
* take or threaten to take your property unless this can be done legally; or
* contact you by postcard.- Caller: Client Services
- no idiot anymore| 2 repliesyou may also go to www.debtorboards.com and check out how to sue their butts!! It's $1000.00 per lawsuit. Stop being afraid of these people! They are officially "junk debt buyers" but are fondly known as "bottom feeders".
- collector| 17 repliesClient Services doesn't buy debt. They are hired by the bank that loane dyou the money. If you don't pay client services, then the origional creditor will sue you. Straight up.
Pay your bill AsAP - HHYes, they are debt collectors as well as idiots. The idiots left a message on my machine looking for someone by the name of 'Lucy' then when I called the person I spoke with said they were looking for 'Rochelle'. Can the be that stupid? On their web site they call themselves a 'professional debt collection service.' I'm still laughing. If I hear from them againI will file a complaint with the Florida Attorney General!

- I am not Neil LabelleI keep getting calls for a Neil Labelle from various numbers. All callers that I have identified have been bank collections and also Scientology Telemarketing. One guy claimed that Neil Labelle called and his caller ID had my number in it, so I guess there was either some caller-ID spoofing or calling party lying ongoing. I do not know if any of the many Neil Labelles of the world is involved or also innocent victims of an identity theft scam.
However, the main problem is with incompetent bankers too quick to float loans and too lazy to verify telephone numbers, who then harass uninvolved people!- Caller: Another predator?
- BrotherClient services called my house twice looking for my brother. They knew the number they were calling was not his number because on multiple voice mails they said "This is not a solicitation...if we have the wrong number please contact us to let us know and we will take your number off our calling list." After I called to tell them to remove my number, they asked me does Brien spell his name with a "y" or an "i". Then the guy asks me if I know him. Of course I know him! They knew where my brother lived and where he works which is 4 hours from me. Very questionable tactics. Don't pick up their call.

- EleanorFirst they called three times from unknown name and no number showed up. Finally on the last call they said who they were and they were calling on behalf of Capital One. I told them I had filed bankruptcy and that they were not to call me again. Within two minutes the number 636-947-2321 calls showing Client Services and left a message to call them at 866-415-1991 about my Capital One account. I called and told them again that I had filed bankruptcy and to not bother me again. She informed me that she could bother me any time she wanted to because I owed Capital One and I told her look I filed bankruptcy so leave me alone and hung up on her.

- jz| 2 repliesReceived call at my work phone from this number -- here's what he said:
"Uh, (my name)! My name is Nathan Kinney. Uh, Calling you from Client Service I'm trying to get in touch with you, uh, uhm, in regards to an important, uh, business matter of yours . . and it's very time sensitive and uh, i need you to return my call as soon as you can. My number is 1-800-521-3236 ext 4376. Again that number is 1-800-521-3236 ext 4376."
(He used alot of "uhs" but still sounded legit.) He called by my full name, correctly pronounced (it's an unusual name) . . which he took off of my (work) voicemail greeting I'm sure . . . I realized then that it was not necessary to give my last name on my work voicemail and promptly removed it. Based on the information from this website, I will not be calling him back! P.S. I do not have any debts that would be in collection . . so if this is a debt collection company, I have no idea why they would be calling me! - j. galloRon Langford has hair plugs. I'm serious. Look real close and you can tell.
- MeYeah, they keep calling like 5 times a day on my companies cell phone, gal says her name is "Mindy". I finally put em on DND on my phone but they keep leaving messages, they need to be sued for harrassment. How many calls you gotta make before you realize you've got the wrong number.
- Mary| 1 replyMy mother received a call from somebody claiming to be with Client Services, Inc., demanding to know my current phone number and address. When she refused, they verbally abused her and even threatened her. She is very old and was visibly shaken after this horrible encounter. It is a shame these thugs are allowed to treat people this way.

- JamesGot a call from this number and answered it and was immediately put on hold.
Yes, that's right. They call you and put you on hold.
So like any sane person would do I hung up. - FluffybearThis company has called me every day for the last month looking for someone who has the same last name as I but who I have no connection with nor ever have.
I can not make them understand I do not know the person or get them to stop calling me.- Caller: Client Services
- John| 1 replyI just purchased a new cell phone and subsequently received a new phone# with it. Within a few days after activating my new phone line, I started to get an automated call asking for a person whose name I have never heard of and have no association with. I called the number back and told them that I do not know this person. They were very rude and asked me for my name so that they can document who called. I told the woman on the phone that I would not give my name because I do not know them. They said they needed it so that they can remove my phone#. Of course, I gave them a bogus name and she was very sarcastic when she repeated "my name". She said that my request will be "taken care of". We'll see...
