The area code says Galveston Texas.  They called a few minutes ago with a recording about lowering your interest rates, and that it is your final notice.  I have gotten at least a dozen calls in the past month concerning lowering interest rates, so I pressed 1 to get a breathing human on the phone.  This guy asks if I pressed 1 to lower my interest rates, and when I started in about not wanting to be called anymore about this the guy hung up on me.

some one called me from this phone number when I wasn't home

I just got another call in Madison WI
I block their number, but they keep changing.

I have gotten about 25 calls over time.
I have no "debt."

I too received a call from this number offering financing while I wasn't at home, with a recording.  I'll be filing a complaint.

Tried to block this # and my service says "invalid number" How do these people get away with this crap?? That should be illegal in itself - wire fraud! [***]!

These people called the home line and then the office line 2 seconds later. We never answer numbers we do not know, but when I looked it up- I'm really glad we didn't. Just ANOTHER SCAM to get information. WHY ISN'T this illegal? We need to find out how to put a stop to this. We get at least 20 calls a week from telemarketers. BULL!

Most of these calls are coming from over the border.  Either Mexico or Canada.  They can get away with calling us because they do not have to abide by U.S. laws.

I think if we all press "1" and take up their time, they will lose money.

I received a call from 642 119 4102 the person was in Jamaica routing the call through Galveston, TX. I called the attorney Generals office, they explained the call is from a stolen cell phone routed from overseas. It is a scam don't give them any information you will regret it. I have been on the do not call list for several years and received a telemarketing call from this number.

got an automated call about lowering interest rates. The message didn't have an option to be removed from list. Pressed 1 to talk to someone. I politely told her that and she promptly hung up on me. We are registered on the do not call list. Will file complaint

I also have been receiving phone calls from this number stating the same thing about lowering my interest rate.  When I pressed 1 a woman came on and I told her not to never call here again, she hung up on me but today I have received another call from the same people.  I have reg istered this number with the Do Not Call Registry and hope it will stop soon.

I just reported this number to the Do Not Call Registry. Is this call really from New Zealand?

I call this call as well. "final notice to take advantage of the financial stimulus." thats what was on my answering machine. Ok........ What Stimulus??!!??
