I received a phone call today from a Sharon Kluwoski of Law offices of Shawn Wood, stating that I owe money. I told them before I begin to give out any information they would need to send me by fax validation from the company I owe. The lady told me that she could only give me verbal confirmation. I told her since she could not provide any wrtitten documentation then I could be no assistance to her. She hung up on me. Five minutes later she calls my job stating I was going to be served summons papers and then arrested. I told her that I have a lawyer and this conversation is over any communications needed to be directed to my lawyer.

i dnt agree wit u coz i had a wrd wit the main company nd they tld me dat Law office of shawnwoods is taking care of their Accounts nd so u hv to pay them nd they wud help u in their bst way..Then i calld up law office nd had a wrd wit the same lady u r talking abt yes she was sharon kluwoski..she was a vry kind lady and she tried to understand my problems and she helped me in her best ways after talking the attorney..

This number calls me several times and they hang up when I answer. I called the number back and it sounds like Nigeria. They say I owe money for an internet loan which I have never received. Probably a scam and they need to learn people are not giving out personal info on the phone to anyone.

You should report them to your local police. Additionally you should pull a free credit report and make sure that you dont, in fact, have a line of credit fraudulently created. If you do you need to go to the police immediately for identity theft- or you WILL be dealing with people like this for a long time.
I have called and spoke with someone, When i informed them that i am  calling in regards to a phone call my client received yesterday and that i am their attorney they were nice as day. And when i told them that i was calling to give them the police report number for their records they got even nicer.
AND when i told them I needed a loan number, case number, contact information including physical address and proof that this was not a fraudlent call on their end (or else the police report would remain open and turn into a DOCKET number)....they said theyd call back in less then an hour.

yes. they are playing with fire. Well see if I get that return call.

I just got that call from this number about 40 mins ago saying I owe money for a payday loan from Meta-Bank and if I do not pay in 48hours I will be taking to court. I cursed him out and demanded the information when I got hostile he backed off and hung up. I called him back 7 times a few times he let the voice mail get it then the last couple of times he picked up and hung up. I am 6 months pregnant and I do not have time for this BS. I called the authorities and I am waiting for them now, somebody needs to get this [***]!

I received a call from a calvin from the law office of shawn wood regarding a loan from paydayusa. I told the guy i had no loan and that i would contact them directly since i supppedly got the loan 03/06/11. I looked up paydayusa called them and they told me they were a payroll company not a loan company. Also to beware it could be a scam and to notify my bank.

I received several phone calls on my answering machine at home from this number and could not understand the person on the other end.  I heard something about a law office and something about owing money.  I do not respond to callers who do not speak English in an understandable manner.  Then yesterday I received a call on my phone at work.  This caller was more articulate, though not much, and I was able to understand that it was the law offices of Shawn Wood and that I needed to contact them immediately about a personal matter and that I owed money and if I wanted to stay out of court I would call them, and on and on and on.

Fyi this is a fake law office.  I called the New York Bar Office... Here is a link to check if a law office is official or if they are a ruse.  http://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/attorney/AttorneySearch#search_result  This Shawn Woods or Sean Woods is not listed.  There is no Woods in New York thus far.  Also, I called back using an Indian like them and extracted the address 101 New York Avenue Brooklyn Ny 11207 and there is nothing in that area as to being a law offices.  Ask for a license number or look them up!  They can purchase a phone line and link it to any state.  If you go to a third party website to apply for a payday loan your information is then forwarded to almost anybody and that is how some people are getting this info.  I have placed a fraud alert on my credit and keep an eye on my checking account since these [***] have it all.  It is amazing during this booming information age we have such an increase in theft by deception or fraud.  Best of luck, my suggestion would be block these calls and forget about it.  Nobody can arrest you for non payment of bills and if legit, they can report your credit, garnish your wages (Keeping in mind you must have been contacted and given tangible information before they can take action and it takes time.)  I placed these jerks on Call Blocker Extreme and when they call they get a HIGH PITCH SCREAM!!!  From that program!! This is my recourse and life goes on!!

I just received a call on my cell phone from these people and also they called me at work. They have been told NOT to call me at work and if they were a legit law firm then they would know they are not allowed to call you at work

maybe if you learned how to spell and speak English that would help but if I didn't know better I would have to say you are part of this scam and any American person with a brain knows not to give there personal information to a bunch of idiots who change there phone numbers and names more then I change my underwear and by the way a friend of mine is an attorney in Ohio and has a book with every attorneys name in the USA and there is no Shawn Woods listed so watch they are coming for you the FBI, CIA AND HOMELAND SECURITY!!!!

They're calling saying that I owe on a loan and that if I don't pay I am going to go to jail. The thing is I don't owe on any loan.

Thank you Cin68 I knew this is a Scam this # keep calling me I didn't answer, I was @ work and look at the # and google it don't exist, by the way this girl with a Accent, still call me I answer  today and told her send me a letter about this payday loan I don't own them, well she send it by E-mail I don't how, That letter got some error in typing got the  wrong address  i have to laugh she think Im a fool.
