It's one of those threatening IRS Lawsuit calls.  It's just a recording.

THIS IS A SCAM !    Who do you turn these people over to?  I bet they are scaring older people into sending them money.  I would like to STOP This!  If anyone knows how - let me know.  I'm going to call the police & see if they can help.

I just received a recording call from the IRS.  I think it is a SCAM call. I will be checking with the Sheriff's Office in our area tomorrow.

This was a very effective scam in attempting to scare people (me!) into thinking that they are IRS Officers collecting debt and threatening significant jail-time should payment not be made within 25minutes and that police officers would be heading to my home immediately to make an arrest should payment be unable to be completed. I spoke to an "Officer Shawn Griffin" and he also gave me his "Officer Number" as well as a case # for the IRS lawsuit that would be peding if I didnt make immediate payment. He also tried to have me provide bank account info so that they could have a loan company make a deposit into my account in order to remit payment aginst the farcicle IRS debt.

These are horrible people doing horrible things to good people and they need to be taken away for a long, long time. How do we stop this criminal activity? I do not know but did report it to my local Police who could only say that the IRS does not solicit phone calls to retrieve debts; they do this all through the mail system.
BE AWARE! BE CAREFUL! DO NOT PROVIDE THEM WITH ANY INFORMATION!

They left message pretending to be IRS with a direct number to call them back : 1-646-394-9024. This is against IRS protocol. FRAUDULENT call!!!
