The caller phoned me this past Sunday eve, identified himself as with Time Warner Cable wanting to offer me a cable phone bundle at a lower price than I have. He said they offer this only by phone call and by people knocking on doors. I asked him how did I know who he was as there was only a phone number ID and he said he'd call back and could prove it. He never called back and I don't see this number anywhere on the web as being with TWC.

I'd just contacted Time Warner directly by e-mail and they said that there's no record of the phone number being a Time Warner number.  Take that as you will.

received the same call. I know time warner cable sends promotions via mail/email, never have I received a call from time warner for a promo, especially with a private number. my ID always show time warner if they call, not a mere number. Its just a scam.
