They send me a message wanted to buy my car.

Scumbag has sent me numerous text msgs to buy my boat, all of which is fake.  Reported to the IC3.Gov site.

Scammer Wanted to buy a boat thru paypal but was an oceanographer and was leaving so he could not call. What an idiot. I hope he reads this. You scum sucking low life. That is an insult... as opposed to saying that I accept cash and don't need trouble or scammers. You think that is an insult. lol

This lunatic went through a whole number claiming to have sent to my paypal and then asking me repeatedly if I had received it. An idiot. He achieves nothing except to bother people.

I just got a text from the same number to people becarful if ur posting anything on Craigslist write your number like one2 threefourfive 67 something like that that [***] I'm reporting his number 6465047237

This guy keeps trying to use paypal and is persistent! Ugh. Stupid craigslist ad.

He is trying to buy my boat, seems legit at first until he asks about my paypal account and I looked his number up and find this site. Thanks everyone for not letting me waste anymore time.

SCAMMER:  Contacted me through listing on CraigsList (car for sale). I was suspicious from the start because (s)he only communicated via text message. Said they were sending the money via PayPal and an extra $1000 for the shipping/delivery company that would pick up the car. I received an email from "Paypal" that was obviously a fake. Im playing a long with them right now. I'm guessing they are going to ask me to forward $1000 via Paypal or some other method to their "agent." I was correct. I just received an email on how to complete the transaction by sending $1000 to someone via Western Union.

I got scam texts too with paypal requests. Told him he was getting reported.

This bozo with an Indian accent called to say I was selected for a $9K government grant.  The number he called from was 646-504-7237.  He needs to be locked up for impersonating a Federal employee.  This is a grant scam - don't fall for it.

Someone called my mom from this number, asking her if she was (her first name and last name) and when said yes this is she, he said he has her grandson and he wants $9000 to release him. My mom hung up. What kind of a sick f*** joke is this?

Called me and said they represented a department in the US government and that I have been granted a large sum of money. Tolled them that I don't buy it and to stop calling.

I received a call from this number, it was a woman stating she is calling from the United states treasury and explain to me that  I was granted 9k, I asked her to provide me with a phone number just to make sure it was US  treasury she said I can call her back at the number that appear in my caller ID,  I  asked  her again to provide me with a number to verify that she works for the US treasury and her response was:   [***] you.
so no money for me....Third time this week and they still trying.

Amber just called me too and try to offer me $9000 of federal grant money because my file was so clean with the US government he was actually asking for my teenage son so they're going after young people to

I also received a call from this number telling me that I had won a $9000 government grant that did not have to be paid back. The caller had a thick oriental accent and the call originated from New York. I went along with it to get as much information as possible to report to OIGCounsel@oig.treas.gov. I urge everyone else that gets this call to do the same.

This number was a scam number years ago! Now it’s being reused as a new scam. Reported to the FCC

The caller had difficulty speaking fluent English so was difficult to thoroughly understand. He claimed to be a representative of the US Government for free grants to get "Free money". I asked him to put my number on his do not call list but this is clearly some sort of scam.
