Call saying to call them to avoid action by the Treasury dept.

So full of it!

Said they are calling from the Treasury Department about imminent legal action and to call back.  Said name was David Grey -- but is prerecording.

I received the same call.  It appears to be a scam. No one should call back. It is probably to result in exorbitant phone bill.

Total [***].  Notification of "United States Treasury criminal action" would, in reality, be by official US Government paper, via USPS.

Recorded message is from a personal New York Verizon cell number. Individual who identifies himself as David Grey who has a heavy foreign accent, advised he is from the Treasury Department, and you need call back to avoid criminal action against you.

If you call back, they request your personal information such as Social Security number, DOB, address etc. to verify your identity.

No one can e stupid enough to fall for this obvious scam.

Multiple calls went to Voice Mail. Gotta be someone trying to catch a sucker. Puhleeeessse , give me a freakin break !
