Scammer left voicemail that they were from the IRS and that they have been trying to get a hold of me.  The reason they stated for the call was that the IRS have filed a lawsuit against me.

Call came from another scam number (213 1415163) claiming IRS was taking action against me, and to call the fake IRS number 646 583 0725.

Had the same thing happen to me today.  Number they called from was 213-141-5163

Voice recorded call said to call back 646-583-0725.

Since they called my work cell phone. We know it's a scam.
What a crock of [***] :( Why don't people just get real jobs and pay their bills the old fashioned way..by working hard!! :(

Said they was from thw Irs and filling suit

Well I am going through a divorce and there is an IRS debt of $5000 that I cannot pay until the money from sell of our house is divided and I had a Taxpayer advocate get the IRS to uncollectable until divorce is final. That was only 6 months ago but my first thought was that the IRS was reneging on the deal . They said they were IRS officer and they had been trying for some time to get in touch with me and this was final attempt and a law suit was filed against me. However the next day they left the same identical message.I had never heard of the IRS calling anyone but what I don't understand is what are they getting out of this .A scam usually has a way to get money from you. The fact that they didn't address me by name made me skeptical ,but owing them made be nervous about it until I googled the number just a minute ago and saw all the info on this.

They left that same message of malarky about the IRS and a lawsuit.

Just got same call.  The number that was left to call was 914-499-8220.  Was put on hold when I ask "Who am I speaking with?" and call was never picked up.
