Today i got a phone call from a james cole saying he was a federal officer i had charges on my name i  have had them multilple times asking me to send them money. how do i get them to stop.

I received a call from this number.  A man claiming to be investigating a complaint, and that he was from the FTC.  I googled the number and seems like this is someone trying to commit fraud.

Initially I applied for a payday loan through a website. After being denied from the company I applied for, I then received a call from the company who portrayed themselves as Cash Loan USA. I then felt a huge red flag was drawn when they told me to send them 150.00 through a moneypak card. I did agree to it at first, but then became really sceptical, so I never called them back with the moneypak number. After this they began calling me 3-4 times a day. When I expressed my concerns about it possibly being a scam, he got aggressive with me and hung up the phone. Then I started to get calls from another number who now said that my social security number was flagged and that their were legal allegations against me, and if I wanted to resolve the matter, that I needed to make a payment of 100.00 by moneypak again. I tried to get more information about the situation, because if I owe you money I want to know what company I owe to and they would not give me this information. They just got upset that I was asking and starting getting nasty on the phone. They now portrayed themselves as being a part of the FTC, and called me on my work phone harrassing me stating that if I did not make the payment today, that I could be arrested and that police will be sent to my job. Then later today, they called my cell phone still trying to collect a payment, while I have talked to them multiple times they kept going by different officer names. Officer Carter first, then officer Jones, as well as a Senior Officer Thompson, but would say in the beginning of each call that they spoke with me earlier. They clearly were getting mixed up in their story, because everyone I spoke with sounded like the same person, who had a thick middle eastern accent. The most recent call I received, I had a friend answer the call because they keep harrassing me and she let them know that we know they are a scam and that we are going to be taking legal action, he then said he will be calling my work number tomorrow many times to get me fired. I decided to call them back so I can get the OFFICERS' badge number and when I spoke with the man who says he's officer carter he stated he will have the police sent to my work to come and arrest me and hung up the phone.

This is a total scam.  These dorks have been calling me for several weeks from at least three different numbers.  Same dude, maybe two, heavy middle eastern accents, barely able to understand them.  They have given me several different names and started with they are a payday loan company and now the FTC, wow what a promotion.  They have threatened to have me arrested for not providing my name and personal information.  When I ask them to tell me who their supervisor is, they get nasty and make threats.  This is a SCAM, classic SCAM, do not give them anything!!!!!!!  But you can have some fun with them and hopefully annoy them as much as they will annoy you.  Thank you to who ever sold or gave them my number (sarcasm font)!

I'm getting calls from this number as we speak stating that I have charges against my names and ss# Also sayin that I will be arrested.

They also called me stating that if I do not give them a payment that I will be arrested. When I asked for them to send me documention they told me that the only way I can get the information was for them to file in Federal Court in which I will be found guilty. I told them that I will just go to court. He then transferred me to a supervisor who told me the same thing. I told them that I will not be sending them anything without proof. They then became nasty and told me they are going to have me arrested and hope that I was a big girl. They have beeen calling me at work and on my cellphone all day long. I blocked them from my phone but can not stop them from calling my work.

Just received a call from phone # 646-863-8625 saying I never paid a payday loan same as what everyone else has reported only other thing is they had my ss# what should I do?

I received a call today as well stating that I owe money I never received from that very same guy. Its a total scam

I got a call from this number saying that if i did not pay that i would be arrested

Man called my place of work. Stated he was Officer Kelly? I had a difficult time understanding him. Asked him to spell the last name and I am not sure that I ever did get it right. Would not give me a reason for calling, only wanted me to send his office money so I would not be arrested.

I just got a call from the same officer Carter, who identified himself as an officer from law enforcement agency.  Now he is really stupid because I have family members who are in law enforcement and if they are from a particular law enforcement agency they are not scared to say which one.  This guy called me twice on my cell and I never picked up and then called me on my job number and left a vmail.  His message was so ratchet in broken English.  And yes he sounded like a foreign Middle Easterner.  I am not calling him back and not entertaining his foolishness. And yes he probably got my numbers from when I applied for a payday loan a few weeks ago.  SMH!

Don't be afraid of these idiots.... I blocked my number and me and my friend called them back nonstop. After scaring this guy disguising as a detective he ended up cutting the number... but that gives you a voice mail and on it is a number... I tracked the number to Manchester, England... 7991-740 or 44 7991 740..... Call these [***] back but use *67 to block your number... Never be afraid of idiots... always fight back!!!

(Long story short, I called back as another person. He kept transferring me to another person... which was him in a new voice... his last voice a bad female voice.... I kept asking for the Electronics Department... funny stuff)

Oh they are using Verizon New York.
Officer Carter, Michael Johnson, Johnny Marshall, Nathan David... all of these aliases are used by this idiot.

it happened to me today officer carter at first then transferred me to a senior officer they  told me I had 5 charges against me stated charges that didn't even seem like real charges.well I continued to talk to him freaking out  because im being told im going to be arrested well I asked who he was and he said law enforcement from new York I said what county what jurisdiction ect he said law enforcement from new York I said ok dude and he was like I m not a dude first of all and I was like ok so if I supposedly got this so called loan when did I get it he said Im not in that department so I said ok well if iwas being arrested for this you would no when I got it. I continued to argue with him and actually hung up before he had the chance to ask for money so do not apply for any payday loans they are all scams...........

Yesssss these fools keep on calling me talking about a payday loan.. I also asked for his address and what district al he can say is A.I. So I called him back from a blocked # and it goes to a voice mail then called back without blocking my # and you get a ans... Yes at first I was scared because I work in a prison so I don't want to get arrested... But I know for a fact that I don't owe money and they can't give me any information so to hell with them....

I am getting the same thing.  Calling me on my cell phone and harrasing me at work saying that I owe thousands of Dollars and that I have criminal charges against myself and ss number. They keep threatening to have me arrested if I do not call them back.. Is there a number you can call to report them?

These idiots called me saying that theres mulitple complaints against me and my ss# I told the ass that i knew it was a scam and i hung up this fool called me back and put another idiot on the phone to tell me that i would be arrested now.....hmmmm....1st of all the non English speaking [***] couldnt give me any info that I asked so big it on stupid!!!!SCAM!

They called me at my work, told me like everyone else I had multiple fraud complaints against me. I knew it was a scam, I tried to get information from him "Steven Mitchell", and he said "are you going to let me finish?" I said not until I get some more information, he said "well then f* off b*&%" and hung up", I'm still laughing.

This is SCAM..be careful. When he told me he is from the Federal, I reply him I work for the Federal service as well. I ask what is the DOD code for the day. He hang up on me.

DOD code is for secret use only. Only Federal internal user has it, and it change every single day. So even you got a DOD code for today, it won't be valid again for the next day.

How can I get these people to stop calling my work......I had to prove it was a scam.
