646-878-6346

Called, no one said anything called again right after didnt talk

2 missed calls from number identified as (646) 878-6346.  Returned the call, person that answered the phone as an investigative service for the state of SC.  They asked for a specific name, told them it was a wrong number. They hung up.  Number looks to originate in NY.

Told me they were from the IRS and needed myself or my attorney to pay an outstanding tax debt.....

They called me 3 times today, and the message claimed to be an investigative service from the IRS.  I called the number back as the message requested and the phone was busy.  I don't have any kind of outstanding tax debt, so my feeling on this is that it's fake.

"Justin Million" (LOL) left a message while I screened the call.  He represented some Investigative Unit at the Internal Revenue Service.  I believed every word!  His delivery consisted of:  reading from a script;  using poor English diction;  struggled along with a halting speech pattern;  used vague references to something very important and confidential.  Very funny.  I hope he calls back!
