I got a call from these guys on my cell yesterday and today. I don't live in or near Toronto so I'm not going to answer it and be charged long distance. And they won't leave a voicemail to tell me what it's about.

Same here. Got a call from the above number on my cell. I am not going to answer it as I don't even live in Ontario.

This number has been calling my cell for the past 3 weeks, I'm not answering it either, as it would be long distance. I have no idea whom it belongs to.

It's a courtesy call from Scotia Bank.  I am not sure what regarding, but that is what they say it is about.  It is apparently not to get money from you or whatever, more of a customer service call.

I called the number and it's ScotiaLife Financial.   They don't leave a message and I have no idea what it's about.

If it's Scotialife, it's most likely to get us to sign up for one of their many insurance plans. The call was on my landline and they didn't leave a message even though I have voicemail

Year your right guys it is Scotialife Financial.  They call me every couple of months trying to get me to buy life insurance anywhere from $20 and up.

I keep telling them I'm not interested but they are a very insistant bunch.  And same as everybody else I have Voicemail and they never leave any messages.

Got a call from the above number on my home line.I live in Alberta.

i called it.  It is Scotia Life Financial.

any one that calls and hangs up should be reported to the C.R.T.C. and let them deal with it.

4:25pm on a Saturday afternoon. Grrrr.

In my case it was ScotiaLife Financial following up on a mail-out they did in September for Accidental Death Insurance.

They mumble jumble courtesy call and i ask don't call again but they just called today Monday December 14th at 2:39, I only have call display, seen it early and I am getting pissed off. If I want to purchase something thats my business, they are actually telemarkers in a since and my number was added to the list the first day, so why the hell are they harrassing me, and I believe it is the Bank of Nova Scotia. No respect, no laws for the big wigs.

For the past few months, I have been getting numerous calls from this number. I never answered because I do not answer calls that I don't recognize the numbers for. Plus it's a call phone number too. I wish they will stop bugging my phone.

I got a call from this number, they did leave a voicemail message but it was the craziest message ever!!!
The lady kept saying "Hello, Hello, Is there anyone there?" "I'm looking for (Blank)..... Hello?" then she hung up.

Yup........They say it's on behalf of Scotia for some insurance plan. Best bet is it is a call centre somewhere in India where they can fake a pretty good Canuck and all sorts of companies hire them for peanuts, they're trained to do it. If they're Soliciting Texas......you get yourself a Texan accent.

Yup...same here!!i have been getting the same calls and they hang up whenever i ask what it's pertaining to. They NEVER leave a message and if you are not the one they are asking for...they just HANG UP in your ear!! i was so pissed that this time i called back the number and left them a message!! lol..told them to call back and have soemone who knows how to speak English and explain why all the phone calls! Also told them that the person they are callijng for MOVED OUT!! Lets see if they still keep calling.

We get them as well...I live in New Brunswick. I just told them 2 months ago I wasn't interested. And then they started calling my husband...finally hubby actually talked to them and also told him he was not interested in the insurance. Again this week they have been calling and I just have not been answering the phone...This is so NOT a courtesy call..it is a..."I want whatever money you have call" Some are very rude. I had a call from them like 7am..And I'm like ...do you guys really know what time it is?? And they act as if they never heard you and keep on with there little speach they are reading...LOL!!

called 6.05 am dec 21 previous call last week when I answered they hung up

I get calls from 1-888-288-3808  and 1-888-556-5188 several times per day..I have caller ID so I don't answer it but I am tired of getting these calls.
I have called my phone provider and they took me off the "list" for telemarketers but it could take 1 month before this stops.
