the call is from wind mobile. it's safe to pick up because it is a Toronto phone number. if you don't want them to continue calling, you should answer the phone and ask them to put you on a "do not call list ".  ignoring the call will not stop them from calling you.

So why is a phone company calling on a Sunday morning?? I think that's kind of ignorant and rude

its not a sales call its usually them calling if you have been on the phone with customer service its an automated system that calls to get a review on their customer service

You might also get a call back on this number if you used the customer contact page on the WIND website.

Some one gave me missed calls and luckily I was sleeping. This is a new number I don't know. Kindly let me know who is this person and let me verify them.

LISTEN, I get calls from this phone number more than once on a daily basis. If you answer the call in 2014 and an actual person talks to you, the beginning of the conversation goes like this: representative claims he/she is from Wind Mobile and then asks you to confirm some personal information like your address and date of birth. When this happens and if you answer the questions, then you are NAIVE. Even if you agree when the representative negotiates that he/she will disclose some details like your street name or month of birth but you'll have to complete the missing details, then you are still NAIVE.

RULE#1: Don't disclose personal information to STRANGERS WHO CALL YOU because they can claim that they work for a certain company but in reality they don't. Watch the movie Identity Thief.

The best way to handle such incoming calls that ask for your personal info is to ask the caller a callback number and YOU WILL CALL THEM.


My experience with the call from 647-700-2435, the "representative" asked me to confirm my address. I refused and I asked her what the call is about. She irritably refused to give me the reason for her call, instead she told me to call *611 (Wind on my mobile). I didn't call 611, but I called the 6477002435, and I 'confirmed' it's associated with Wind because the standard Wind Menu voice machine came on. I spoke to a Wind representative and I told him someone from their office called me. He told me there are no notes or documentations on my account, no records that Wind has even attempted to call me, no reason why they would even contact me. I was surprised. Then who the heck called me? He asked what phone number called me. I told him, and in fact it's the number I called to reach him. He put me on hold for 2 mins to investigate.

GET THIS: The Wind representative told me that 647-700-2435 is not in any way associated with Wind Mobile. I asked him, "But that's the # I called to reach you!?" Then he came up with the conclusion that the "scam artist" used CALL FORWARDING. My call to 6477002435 was forwarded to the Wind Customer Hotline to make me believe that the # is really from Wind, with the hopes that next time they call me, I would be convinced that they really are from Wind and I would be more cooperative in disclosing my personal information to these scam artists.

I hope someone learns from my experience.

I just filled a request for a quote on wind website they never emailed me back but I did get the call with nobody at the other end!

I did get email response here it is:

Someone is calling me too frequently from 647-700-2435 and when I pick up the phone, no one talks, it's weired.

That happened to me too they have just tried to call me about 3 times in the last 10 minutes. I think once in plenty and they never say anything on the other end. This needs to stop.

pay your phone bills on time people, and you will not get calls from this number again.

This is the most credible explanation about the calls from this number. Good job! ... and, guys, take it into consideration!

Got  the call too... Have a feeling it's a scam using Wind as a cover to collect personal info.... Be aware!!!

Got a call today. They asked me for my address and other info. I was like who the hell is this and why are you calling me? They said they couldn't disclose the reason for the call until I gave my info and claimed to be windmobile. I told the girl the way it works is if I call you then I give you info but you calling me is total BS. I called wind and they say its not their number but when I called it back sure enough wind mobile answers. I THINK ITS A SCAM!!!

Got a call from this number today, right in the middle of class too! F*** this stupid scam artist ans I hope they get arrested soon. Added to the 'call rejection' list on my Samsung phone. Doesn't help that I have a limited amount of minutes either, so the damn call I got from this number ate up some of my precious talk time. Moreover, I'm a former WIND Mobile customer (switched over to Koodo and ported my former WIND number to it 3 months ago) and I'm wondering if any former WIND customers also got a call from this number recently... or is this scammer simply targeting random people?

If it's the former, that might mean that an ex-/current WIND employee is doing something shady. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. There's a lot of corruption going on behind the scenes in major telecom companies like WIND, Rogers and Telus.... employees can get away with stuff like selling directories of people's numbers to scam artists or set up elaborate phone scams with numbers taken from telecom databases themselves.

i keep getting phone calls and messages whith this number, when I call back there is no reply
