someone keeps calling and when I pickup there is no answer.  the caller ID says PH.# 650-262-1221 and the caller ID. says TEST.

Caller id is Test.  I'm not dumb enough to answer a call like that.  They are stupid.  And they smell. The message on my voice mail was a messge that was cut in half,  it was a recording about some kind of "offer" but it didn't say what.  This is one of those electronic calling machines that everyone hates.  I'm totally sure it's some kind of scam that tells people they won something and then you have to send them a bunch of money to claim your so called "prize".  Just don't answer the phone and you will be glad.

It's a credit card scam.

Since I pay my credit cards off every month I don't need an interest rate lower than the 0% I pay now.  Just another scam.

This is at least the third time I have received a call from this number.  The first two times I entered "two" to stop receiving calls.  Today I entered "one" to speak to someone.  When person picked up I asked what company it was and they immediately hung up on me.  Grr...

Seems no one reads these forums except the ones leaving complaints just as myself and looks like some 50 others in the past three days.
Look at your Caller ID. If you don't have CID get it. If you do not recognize the number calling simply let it ring. IF it is an important call they WILL leave a message.  

I get these calls all the time. I picked up a little Caller ID box at Salvation Army and brought it home and plugged it in. If I don't know you, I don't answer the call. These "mutants" are persistent, but eventually after never getting either an answering machine or someone answering they will eventually get tired of calling a number that they get no results on. And yes they call all hours of the day and night. OPERATION SMILE got so angry at me that they called 6 times in less than 5 minutes. I turned off the ringer and let them call. I haven't heard anything else out of them.

I play their game and let it ring. If I get sick of hearing the ringing, I turn the ringer off - they can't make me answer the phone AND THEY KNOW IT. It's a game. If you are going to have a land line, you are going to get these calls. I miss the days of having an unlisted number.

You can't stop these calls for one very simple reason - the companies that you do business with are selling their customers information to make money. It will never stop - discipline yourselves to know that you are not so desperate to talk to someone that you will answer your phone just because it rings.

Got a call from this number

Left a message for Bob asking about setting up an adventure flight.
strange.
California exchange.

Called them back. If you do it give you an automated message that says if you press any key it removes you from their list. Pressed the key and it says "Goodbye". Hope that it works. Not sure who it is.

Blocked it!

Received a call from this number, but didn't answer it. This happened after receiving a call from 919.857.2150 which I unfortunately DID answer...another cyborg caller.  I assume I will be getting more cyborg calls for a while and have now blocked both numbers. I should never have answered the earlier call!

Received a call from this number, but didn't answer it. This happened after receiving a call from Unavailable 855-269- 4491, which I unfortunately answered.  Maybe they are related-- filing claim on both numbers to FCC-- it's the only way to make them pay! http://www.fcc.gov/complaints

Just got this "TEST" call. I let the answering machine get it and they hung up. I thought it was a human though, because I heard rustling noises in the background and they didn't wait for the whole message to play out. So they knew it was a recording right away.
