I was contacted by that scammer, too.

Reportedly calling to take a "SURVEY FOR KAISER PERMNENTE."  The surveyor asked to speak with the person who is served by Kaiser. The same woman called twice: (1)during and after dinner (2)early the next morning.

This morning, I asked for her name and number and offered to have someone call her back. She said it had to be the person who has KAISER, and asked who would that be. I did not furnish a name, of course. I became increasingly suspicious.  

So, I replied by asking for her name and number. She giggled and said they were there 24 hours a day, and once again tried to get a specific name out of me. I told her it would be a person who may be covered by the aforementioned giant insurance company.

I felt like a dentist trying to pull out a tooth. However, the agressive mystery woman finally declared that her name is "MELLISA" and could be reached at 1 (888) 709-9874 (Unfortunately, I am not able to recall her last name right now).

It was not possible to get more information because we do not have Caller ID.
When I tried to call the number back using with a distinctive phone company feature, a recording said the number was not available to be reached that way. Strange!

I called 1 (888) 709-9874, which is the number above that the mystery caller furnished. The person who answered said, "Anderson Niebuh Associates."

While attempting to find information from the internet, a search led me to this web site. Clearly, I am now certain this is a scam.

I plan to report the scam as soon as I finish this note.

It's not spam. Anderson Niebuh Associates do research for KP and are very persistent in getting the info they need. I was getting a lot of calls until I agreed to do the survey. The survey was very generic about Kaiser services, facilities, and insurance in general. No personal questions. Mostly affects new (er) members.

Received the first call on 1/17/11.  Guy said he was getting information for Kaiser Permanente on how to better serve their clients.  I started to answer the questions and then said I was going to end the call and hung up.  Since then I get calls every day but do not answer them.

Caller in a stern voice threatened that his name is Eric Matthews from the State Investigation Department..". "... have a situation that there is lots of complaints against your name..... and your identity... Before we take legal against your name....."  
  Return number was 202-241-2216.....

Got a call from 651-486-7653 this evening.. The caller didn't give his name or the name of a company, but wanted to conduct a survey about available Health Care Providers in our area. It seemed a bit strange, so I hung Up!

Received a call from this number two days in a row...no message left on answering machine

Unsolicited caller did not leave any message.  I don't usually pick up unsolicited callers calling from out if State.  They are a nuisance.

i got the same [***] wanted a survey because im new to kaiser told her (cindy stone) that if she mails me one, i'll be glad to fill it out and mail it back. she says no it needs to be over the phone is there another time you'll be available? and is this "my real name" so i just hung up, but when i called the 888-709-9874 number the guy left me on my voice mail i asked for extension 7750 he told me, lady on other end asks 'Oh do you have a name" TOTAL SCAM I'm Calling Kaiser in 2 min ;-)
