I have recieved 3 text messages from 654-654.  I have opened them then deleted without responding.  When I recieved my Verizon bill, I had a Premium TXT Messaging charge of 9.99 for 654654 Predicto on October 20 and another on November 20.  I did respond on November 20th that they are to "unsubscribe me as I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST"  Waiting to see what happens December 20th.

Please do not text me anymore - I am on a do not call list and if i have too I will seek professional help to get these text messages to stop

I got a text message and called them to unsubscribe me.  They claimed they did but I continue to get messages and bills.

If you get a text from them, call your cell phone provider immediately -- It means this company "Predicto Mobile" will be charging you $9.99 illegally and will refuse to refund.

It's a scam that, for some reason, authorities are unwilling to prosecute.

For information, you don't need to use your cell-phone to get scammed. Buying a new cell phone may get you charged $9.99 per month (or more when you get multiple subscriptions) to Predicto because the cell phone number you get is a 'recycled' phone number.

'Recycled' phone number means that your new cell-phone number previously belonged to a subscriber who for any reasons (moving or avoiding Predicto Scam) decided to drop her old phone number.

‘Recycled’ cell phone numbers may have lot of contracts attached to them. Usually cell phone companies send lists of these cell phones to providers like Predicto to clear them from any  contracts.

A class action was filed on 09/17/2009 against Predicto Mobile LLC in the Eastern District of Michigan (http://www.courthousenews.com/2009/09/18/Alltel2.pdf) for charging new cell-phone users and ignoring the lists sent by Alltell (Cell-phone company) who send Predicto updated lists of 'recycled' phones to clear from any contracts.

According to the document, Predicto  just ignored lists of canceled cell-phones provided by Alltel but also Verizon, T-mobile, Sprint, and others cell-phone providers.

Predicto just transferred their billing to new subscriber: it’s simple your cell phone get billed before then Predicto keeps billing using the same cell-phone number.

To my understanding any  subscriber who subscribed to any cell-phone company  who has a Predicto contract dated before they get their cell-phone contract is entitled to a full refund including past due interests. Hundreds of thousands subscribers are affected.

A new class action needs to be prepared for actual unauthorized billing without previous contract on cell-phone. We may have to hurry as I do not know if there will be enough to pay us. So spread the words and the links.

I am getting texts from this number and don't know who it is

they have been charging me 9.99 for hella months

Got 2 texts in 15 minutes.  Called my cell provider as I do not currently have text.  Sprint blocked them....and said there were currently no charges on my bill.  I was quick.  Had Sprint on the phone within 10 miutes of last text.  Hope this works.

You can call 800-360-0518 to have the texts stopped and your number blocked from their system.

I have contacted these people yet still get over 100 texts a month even after they said I was canceled.
This results in a fraudulent monthly bill to my AT&T iPhone account - which I have never authorized.

I want to take legal action against these people! How do I proceed?

Its a texting scam to get money.  I got tired of it and did something about it, and offering the same info to you.......

I too am getting texts messages from 654-654 I called my cell provider and they told me to type in the code and tell them to stop sending me messages.  It had better work cuz im getting way too many and im sick of paying for them when i dont even respond to them!!!!

This happened to me.  When I talked to my cell phone provider they knew about the scam.  They did not charged me because my wife fought the charge.  If my my provider is charging the $10 millions of times to customer that will not complaing or that don't know, they are benefiting from it too.  I'm sure they take that money and are putting it into an account to gain interest and if the gov ever cath up with them them they will reimburse the customers.  That is why Cell phone providers will not stop this even though they know it is a Scam.  They are making money on someone elses crime.

Looking on the Predicto site, they say:

A: Just text "STOP" to 654654. We'll cancel your subscription. Right away, we will stop sending you prediction questions, news updates, and other administrative messages. If you cancel after your subscription has renewed but before you have received your cell phone bill, you will see one last monthly charge. But, we will not charge any new amounts on your phone bill after you cancel.
