- CarolynDon't call them back! According to the Federal Trade Commission, this is a scam (which I had already assumed). They call posing as a government agency and threaten folks with a lawsuit or jail if they don't pay them. They use different names (my call was from "Chris Stevens"), but they seem to usually claim they are with the "Dept. of Legal Affairs". Scumbags!
