Call from an Indian drafting company.  Located in India they offer low cost drafting services is what they said. I never answer calls from unknown numbers for this reason.  He left a message with a web site.  Very odd call.

the number came up as a "skype" caller. i didnt answer and they didnt leave a message.

don't know who it was. left messages on two different days very weird voice, talking as if from a script. Gave a website name, talked about a package and asked me to check my email. I could hardly understand what the woman was saying...very weird voice.

Called and hung up when I answered? Annoying.

It is a website to buy in game gold for runescape. It is just a safety measure to make sure they are the ones that bought the gold. You have to answer the call, give your name, then reply to an email with your proof of purchase and then meet them in game for your gold. So if you didn't buy it then don't worry about it =]

Got few call from this number. Dare to leave message which do not understand.

So I picked up the phone, ended up being somebody who told my grandfather that he was my brother, in Chili, and tried to get 18 hundred dollars from him to bail him out of jail.  Sounds like a straight up thief to me.

From all the reports I see online about this number it does seem to be a Skype type number???

I made an order from overseas and it is being shipped through DHL. Checking their website I see the package arrived in the hub in Ohio and has been shipped to me. The call stated that the package would be here in two days and someone had to be here to sign.

So it doe make sense that this is a blank number showed by Skype or some type of service like that?? You would think that DHL would have their our number!!!!

I got a call from this number a few minutes ago. The name that was showing up on the caller ID was kavita, narwal. They asked for me by name and I told them they had a wrong number, but they insisted I was the right person. I didn't give them my name and my number is unlisted and unpublished. When they called off my number I told them that is the number they called but there's no one here by that name and they seem liked they didn't believe me. I hung up.

I have a few calls from this and other "Skype Numbers", by the way, if you have Skype in your phone, it will show that the call is from a Skype Number, if not, it will show Unknown Caller.
Anyways, most people don't know that "Skype Numbers" are "Online Numbers", telephone numbers that you can "buy" online, I mean you can be in any country around the world and get a number in Seattle WA for example, or any other city in the US, and is very cheap, about $18 for three months, and you link that number to your "real" phone number, next (let say the caller is in Africa) he make a call from his phone using that Skype Number to a person in California, that person in California will get a call from Seattle, even when the caller is from Africa.
So, DO NOT BELIEVE what they say, is always scammers trying to get money from you.

PS. I know all this because I actually have an online number, but not to scam people. I'm originally from Chile, so I have this online number in Chile, I make calls to my family there, and they can actually call that number in Chile paying local rates and I answer here, it save a lot of money.

I got a call from this number after I put up a lost pet ad on Craigslist.  The Indian man on the phone asked me questions about my lost pet, and then went on about a service they offer and they will find the pet within 4 days if all I could do is provide some information.  Really a jerk thing to do when someone thinks you might have information about a lost pet they are desperately searching for!  Clearly a scammer.

I got a call from this number and the caller claims to be from Microsoft. He said they detected a virus in my computer and they needed to fix it. The only problem is that I am on a Mac and don't use windows. This is a scam for sure and for certain.

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone--typically don't pick up unrecognized numbers, but was expecting an out-of-area call, so I answered it. Call said it was coming from "Palmdale area". A man was speaking with an accent, background noise as if in a call center, identified me by my first and last name. He stated the name of the company he was from (the name was very long and he was speaking quickly, I could hardly understand) and asked if I was still interested in purchasing a new home!? I am not and have not been in the market for a new home in years and told him so. He politely thanked me and said to have a good day. Very fishy having now read all of the above posts.

Beware of this 661-748-0241 number calling by a man with an Indian accent.  This guy seems to be  fraudulently selling a Special Discount offer for Dishnet TV Programming. He has called us several times.  From other reports, he is also trying to sell or scam various items in different fields.  

We already safeguarded ourselves from other Dishnet scam by similar type of people.  Previous group was doing money transaction from New Jersey to India/Bangladesh.  Even though reported to the Dishnet executives, they did nothing. Therefore, we suspect this type of people seem to get personal information from within and try to scam innocent and honest customers. Either cut them off or report to the local police.

Received a call from a man with Indian accent trying to sell me an alarm system.  I just hung up on him.

Called saying that they were Microsoft Certified Tech Support, and that my server had sent him a critical error message. Kept asking if I had sent him that message, and he was going to fix it. I told him my other line was ringing and then hung up.
