US POSTAGE METER CENTER is the name of the company. Ashley called "on behalf of our Pitney Bowes Meter". When asked who she was with and what the company's name was that was what she kept repeating.
Obviously not the moct honest postage supplier in the world, huh?
Misrepresentation is also considered fraud, people.
There other number is 800-777-6335.- Caller: US POSTAGE METER CENTER
- Sharon replies to kaileenaI got a call from Jennifer at this # saying she was with US Postage Meter Center calling about our machine. She asked if it was working fine, jamming, etc. Then she asked what supplies I needed for the machine. I told her I was confused since I get my supplies from Pitney Bowes & the machine is from them. I asked again what company she was calling from, asking if it was the US Post Office & it seemed like she had to look it up before answering "US Postage Meter Center." I get so many bogus calls for supplies, that I really don't trust calls like this. She said they're supposed to call every 4 months to check on things with me then asked if I needed ink.
- KathrynWe just got a call from Yolanda about the postage meter machine. She would not leave a message and said she would call back later. Really suspicious. I had just gotten a call before her on our copier count, also a SCAM!
- Caller: USPMC, INC. (US Postage Meter Center)
- MargeYes, I just received a phone call from them. They are definately a SCAM. Beware. They claim they are associated with Pitney Bowes. They are not
- Nancy SmithGot a call from a man said his name was Jason. He asked how our new Pitney Bowes postage machine was doing. Wanted to send supplies. I told him i had just ordered a double order of supplies and didnt need anything right now. He said they were offering a $25.00 Walmart or Best Buy card.

- Marie| 1 replyThis company called my boss when I was out of the office to ask who is responsible for ordering supplies...she gave them my name. She left to go on vacation for two weeks after the call and I wasn't aware that they called. When they called me back my boss was gone and they asked for me by name. They told me that they were trying to deliver a gift card to to. She said it as if someone was sending it me who knew me. She said the delivery guy have the "wrong address" and could I confirm. I should have asked who was sending it...but I didn't. They shipped the supplies to me and I thought the guy who is really in-charge of the postage machine order the supplies and shipped them to me. He is out of our NY office. I didn't open the supplies but shortly after I received an invoice for $370. I called the company and she tried to act like I authorized the purchase. I told he that our machine is leased and I wouldn't have placed the order. She tried to make it seem like I was wrong.

- AmyI work for a local county government and a lady named Cynthia contacted me from this number regarding the postage machine located at our School Board Office. She informed me she was with the meter company that supplies the meter throught their postage machine lease with Pitney Bowes. She said she needed to know if they had updated their machine to show the new fee of 45 cents. She also mentioned our County Administrator's name and stated she wanted to speak with her since she signs our checks. She wanted me to give School Board employees authorization to speak to her. I informed her of our policy and I placed her on hold to contact our School Board Office. They informed me of the trouble they are receiving from this company. This company is a scam and a fraud. They sent them remanufactured cartridges and charged them over $600 for the order. They also set them up on an automatic shipment system and email them invoices. They have not received an order for the invoice they have already been emailed to them. They keep calling demanding payment even though no one from the office authorized the order. They even mentioned they would send them a gift card after they informed them no one authorized any orders. Do not give this company any info!!!

- OmarThis company has been doing this for decades. They change their name every few years..Central Mail and Supply, Postage Meter Distribution, Postage Mail & Supply etc. Anyways they call you up, trick you into thinking they are Pitney Bowes by asking how the machine works, get your model number, your name and then ship you about $25 worth of generic supplies and invoice you for almost $400! They will flat out lie and say an employee of yours ordered it, there's no one with a conscience in this company. If you are not on the ball and pay for the first order then BAM! A couple months later they call you again saying your SCHEDULED shipment is coming, that it's one of 3 you get a year. If you want to cancel they say they can't cancel this one the way the account is set up but they CAN cancel the next one. To sweeten the deal they will bribe your employees with gift cards to Wal Mart and Best Buy. First a $20-$25 one to test the waters, then if they keep ordering the invoices go up each time, $700 ($50 gift card), $1000 for the third order $100-125 gift card, etc. So if you have a person in your company who isnt making as much as they feel they should be, these gift cards become quite attractive. Who cares if the company gets a $1000 bill for about $100 worth of crap right!? The gift card tempts the employee and if push comes to shove, US Postage Meter Center won't have a problem saying that your employee was on the take! Don't bother with the BBB if you come face to face with this scam for a company, go straight to the ATTORNEY GENERAL OF CALIFORNIA! Too many complaints from them and they will shut the company down for good. The owners are Harry Dougherty and Daniel Lynch and the address is 28231 Avenue Crocker, Unit 120, Valencia, CA 91355! Happy Hunting! The main number is 661 257-0384. Company also goes by another name, ICP (International Copy Products, Inc.)

- KevinGot a call today from them. The lady (I didn't get her name) represented herself as an employee at the Pitney Bowes distribution center & said that she wanted to send some coupons. Ironically, I just called today to order some postage suplies from Pitney Bowes & it struck me as strange that she didn't even have a contact name here when I placed the order 3 hours ago, & I've placed supply orders with them in the past & I do get occasional promotional emails from Pitney Bowes.
Our company also has multiple offices, & the address that she had was a facility that closed & merged with another plant about 2 years ago. Knowing that the location she has the address for is closed I told her to call her contact there for more info & she hung up. We get ALLOT of telemarketer calls here & many of them use shady tactics to get information or try to trick you into hearing them out so I was already thinking that it was a scam, but logging onto here confirms it.

- MaryAnnI received a call from Heather with US Postage Meter Center stating we have an overdue invoice in the amount of $326.72. I told her they are not a vendor of ours & they are NOT even in our A/P system. I requested a copy of the invoice and proof of delivery. She stated whe will get me a copy. As I was checking my voicemails, I had another call from Heather and this time I had her number on my caller id. I googled the number and behold what I found. This is a SCAM!! I called the number and waited several minutes for Heather to come onto the line. I asked again for the copies and she said she was working on providing everything for me. I then told her, I googled her number and I found this company is a SCAM! We did not place an order, therefore you will NOT receive any money from this company. I told her to google her number (661-775-7650) and see what comes up. She did not like that, therefore hung up on me. ** Be aware and cautious** they could be calling your place of business and asking who is the A/P person and use their name as the PO#, or even the name of the person who answers the phone..

- ReneeCONFIRM: BIG GIANT SCAM !!!!! Kinda wish I had read all of the above before today, because I now have 2 ink cartridges for my mail machine that I did not actually order & an invoice that I am not paying: the kicker is the company name is not even close to what ours actually is or even used to be (short version: they asked me to verify my mailing address to send our order to - it sounded kind of strange but, didn't think much about it @ the time). Supposedly they are faxing me a return authorization. Will see if I get it. If I don't I will keep calling them each day & if no one will resolve the issue, will mail them back to the address below:
Am copying & pasting from above post from Omar (thank you for the info)

Unbelievable that places like this are allowed to operate a business & prey on people like they do.- Caller: US Postage Meter Center, Inc.
- mmonster4Yes they called and pretended to be with Pitney Bowes and then sent a box full of stuff that I didnt even order... then charged 370.37 for it...
do not give them info and have your staff aware not to give out info on your meter cause even if some one says yes we have that meter and so n so is responsible for that they will send a package with that name on it. - Jennifer replies to MarieSomething like that happened to me too with copy machine toner and they said that because I signed for it I was responsible for payment. The guy was a huge jerk and called me names. I was so angry
- MichaelGot a call today from 661-964-6370 claiming to be Pitney Bowes. We didn't order the supplies she claimed we ordered so she said she would cancel the order. We'll see what happens. I get a ridiculous number of phone calls like this for copier toner and people claiming to work for some yellow pages company. I don't know how these people live with themselves.

- Katrina| 1 replyThis company called our office and asked questions about whether our Pitney Bowes machine updated properly when the postage changed in January. A week later they called and asked for me by name. They said they were with Pitney Bowes and wanted to confirm our address before they shipped an ink cartridge order. I verified the address and thought that one of the other secretaries ordered supplies. I was given a confirmation number and told to expect the package to arrive by UPS in 3 to 10 business days. When I got off the phone I went to the other employee to let her know the confirmation number. She told me that she didn't order any thing. I went through our call log to find the number for who called but it said "Anonymous" and no number showed up and I couldn't return the call. I called Pitney Bowes and was told that they don't call about the machines updating and they don't call us for orders...After searching the internet and finding the information on this website, I called 661-964-6370, they answered the phone "Distribution". I asked to get information about the confirmation number I was given. They put me on hold and then another lady came to the phone and told me the order had been cancelled. I asked her who cancelled the order, she put me on hold again and then came back and told me it hadn't been cancelled, it was just on back order. I asked her who the package would say it was from and she told me "US Postage Meter Center". I told her that when they called me to confirm the address I was told they were with Pitney Bowes. She said they never tell people that... I told her I wanted her to cancel the "Order" and remove us from their calling list. She said she would but I don't expect it... I will be watching the mail for the "cancelled" order because anything from them will be refused. I also called 1-800-777-6335 and they answered "Supply Line" but it was the same person both times. When I asked for the name of the company I was told again that it is US Postage Meter Center and that they are located in California. I was told that the owner is Morton Lee. I called 661-257-0384 and the same person answered the phone "ICP" I said so I just spoke to you, how many different phone numbers do you have and she said "we have 8 lines but I am the only person answering the phone right now." I asked her again what her business name was and she repeated "US Postage Meter Center" so I asked her why she answered the phone "ICP" and she said "ICP stands for something else, I don't know, this is my bosses direct line and I answer the phone for her sometimes." I was told that her bosses name is Jennifer.

- Sandy replies to KatrinaThey are a scam. They call to confirm your order and give you a confirmation number. When I told them that we did not order their supplies, they sent them anyway along with a HUGE invoice. They weren't very nice when I called them to return the order saying I hadn't confirmed it. Supposedly they are faxing me a return and will credit my account. We shall see. These people are tricky and dishonest.
- chadThey just left me a msg: 'Yeah I love Michael Jackson'. Ooooooooook!
