This company claiming to be a charitable organization.  I left an estimated $500 worth of clothing, Little Tikes paly set, Language tapes, and furniture for them but they left no receipt. After a month of calling with no one answering, they called me and I told them about this.  They promised to send a receipt.  Never happened.  Going on 6 months now, they call me roughly once a month.  I tell them what happened.  They are very polite and promise to e-mail me or mail me a receipt.  They actually called today. I don't think this is a legit. charity.  Any other charity would leave or at least MAIL a requested receipt. I saw this # on another site with the EXACT same complaint as mine.  Caller ID says "PICK UP" They also use similar #'s ( just the last 2 or 3 digits are changed )

This company called me and scheduled a pickup.  I left a Bunch of stuff out for them, spent a lot of time packing it all up.. they called and confirmed the pickup, then didn't show up.  I wouldn't help these people at all.

I did some research on this organization. Much of the donated product go directly to the homeless, and the rest are sold in thrift stores to provide finances for the program itself. $30,000 plus per month is generated that provides housing, clothing, counseling, transportation, food, utlities, tuitions, fitness, coaching, and much more.

NSPIRE Atlanta is a credible solution to the homeless epidemic.

Please note that we have around 25,000 people who commit to donate, clothes and household items per month. About 1/2 of the work force between callers and truck drivers are our clients. They want to do a good job. Sometimes a ball gets dropped, or their PR skills are not world-class. We are giving them an opportunity, a hand "up."

scheduled a pick-up.  They ran into our yard, broke a line on our sprinkler system, were nasty about it when I called, and have not responded.  Today we were informed that we had a large water overusage and are having to have a plumber out to fix the leak.  Mailbox for above number is full...won't take new messages.

I been getting calls from this comp. for a vew yrs. and did some digging, Its some kind of cult under the gise of nispire Atlanta (http://www.nspireatlanta.com/)   the cult leader is Gregg Kennard the so called comp. is registered in GA 530 Timber Laurel Lane, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. This cult leader is involved with clothing pick up and a family thrift store which has the teller marketer office in the back, and the thrift  has a differnt name on the building which I will get, and I will get there business licenses number and post it here

They keep calling and calling and calling...it's driving me nuts. Finally, they called this week and I gave in and said "ok, I have some clothing...I'll leave by my garage." They said they would be out Saturday. I had about six bags of really nice things from my teenagers that they had outgrown...Wet Seal, Gap, American Eagle, and Hollister. Saturday came and went. They never showed up. I was willing to give them a shot and try someone new since I always give to the vets (VVA). Stupid me...I'm sticking with the VVA who always show up when they say they are going to! I'll never give anything to this organization ever again.

I have given clothes and misc. items to Nspire many times with their pickups. They have always been very courteous and picked up on time. It is so nice to help a worthy cause who is helping the homeless get a life.

I donated 3 times. They left a receipt each time. I never saw them. They picked up the clothing and household items and left.  No problems. I will donate to them again.

A neighbor witnessed their driver demolishing my mailbox after a clothing pick up at their house yesterday.  I tried calling the phone number but the answering machine was full.  I tried their web site but it was down.  What's up with this "non-profit"??????????

Wow I received an e mail and thought this company was ok.
They are due to pick up tomorrow and sonething told me to check the web and here are all of these comments.
I am going to leave out fewer bags and see what happens and see of they leave a receipt.

I was skeptical...but, who cares!  You get rid of your junk, you get the receipt...and just this morning I witnessed two very nice men over-thanking
my husband for all that we gave.  
Read the director's comments above(Gregg DEc 2008)...and you will realize that the people working this group are the actual ones that need the help, the homeless. So, give them a break!

I have the inside scoop on nspire atl. They are very legit.One man I know very well. His life was at a dead end he was homeless and needed help, because of nspire he started to believe in himself Today he is about to receive a degree in Psychology, He starts a new job in L.A. in Sept.The day before he entered nspire he planed his suicide.Today he loves life,but more important because of nspire he loves himself.I am that man.Feel free to contact me.

I saw the Channel 2 newscast this afternoon for the Nspire organization and was very surprised to hear that there were people disgruntled about this clothing pickup service. I get a call from this company about once month, to once every 6 weeks.  I immediately write down the date of pick on my calendar, and without fail get a call the night before to remind me to set my items out.  I have always gotten a receipt, and rarely even know that they have come and gone.  When I have had any exchange with the drivers, they have always been courteous, pleasant and thankful for my donation. KUDOS to NSPIRE for what they are doing in the community!!
