    What is domestic violence?
Abuse is a pattern of physical, sexual, economic and/or psychological violence used to get control and maintain control over an intimate partner. It is important to know that you do not deserve to be abused, nor are you responsible for the abuse.

Thank you Hope House for addressing this horrific issue.

    calling campaigns for Hope House
Your number can be removed by simply calling 404-468-3048. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We are aware that the calling campaigns doesn't work for everyone and we are happy to remove those numbers upon request. For others it is a easy way to give back and make a difference and it does generate resources for employment, housing. childcare, education, counseling, whole life coaching, for women who are trying to rebuild their family's lives coming out of DV.

Two of our mothers, one with four children, the other with three, just completed their certified nursing assistant education and are now close to employment in that industry. They came to us eight months ago from the local DV shelter. These educations were scholarshiped from the clothing drive resources. (plus much of their livelihood while with us.

Again, I know there are other methods, and this one is not perfect (it has some glitches) but generally overall, it works and provides a win-win. Thank you, Gregg Kennard (executive director)

The Hope House is a fairly New Non-Profit organization that provides a safe haven for women (and in some cases, men) that may be transitioning from domestically violent situations.  Any clothing and reusable household items that are donated help to generate funds so these services can be provided.  There are currently more than three families that are reaping the benefits of your donations.  We are working on the quantity of the calls.  Thank you in advance for your support.

After being in an abusive relationship for years, I didn’t believe there was a way out.  With four children and no where to go I didn’t know what to do.  But then a friend of mine told me about the Hope House.  I was able to live with them while I pursued my nursing degree.  They provided me with free childcare and the facilities I needed to become a CAN.  I am now employed at a nursing home where I care for the elderly.  Without the hope house this would not have been possible.  If you'd like more info please feel free to visit their website http://www.hopehouseatl.com

I was both fortunate and unfortunate enough to give birth to five children at an early age.  And although this was a blessing, it was also a bit of a setback.  I never got to finish high school, but with the help of the Hope house I was able to study and take my GED courses so that I can study radiology.  The Hope house is real and it does bring hope.  Please donate to this charity, their website is http://www.hopehouseatl.org
