JCPenney credits cards are actually issued by lender GE Money.  If you are late on a payment or go into default, GE Money calls you to try to get paid even though you have a JCPenney branded credit card in your wallet.

GE Money uses multiple phone numbers in multiple locations to make their collections calls.  This Lilburn, GA number is just one of many that they use.                                                                                                                                                                                                            

From my experience, GE Money is reasonable, courteous, helpful and willing to work with you.  If you have a JC Penney card and are behind on the payments, take the call and see if you can work out a payment plan.  GE Money is usually cooperative since they are a smart collections agency.  Cooperative and niceness will get them their money while confrontation, intimidation, and fear used by other collection agencies dont' get them a dime (most of the time).

this is crazy they call all the time.  Call as early as 8am on Sunday & as late as 10 pm.  JC Penny collection are ridiculous

they r crazy they wont leave me alone if they call me one more time i swear im gonna track it and call the police and file a report on harassment so if the person that keeps calling all of us is reading this u better watch out i will make sure they find you and leave ALL of us alone!

my daughter just got a cellphone number and the deadbeat that had it before her hasn't paid any bills so they're harrassing her and when I called them to stop it they told me I had to change her phone number. Unbelievable !!

No message left. I see from other comments it's JC Penney credit. I don't have a JC Penney credit card. I'm not a regular JC Penney customer and my purchases whenever I do buy something there are678- always under $50 and cash.

Same comments as everyone else--the GE money idiots are calling 5+ times a day, never leave a message. Neither myself nor my husband have a JC Penney credit card, so we have no idea why they'd be calling us. Am seriously thinking of looking into legal action if this doesn't stop!

Constant calls from them.  I've never had a JC Penny card.  Finally went over to Vonage with a private friends list.  They are in India.  Basically they own all landlines in America.  They can't be stopped.  It's the math.  I was paying $50 a month for a landline.  They are way bigger customers of the phone companies.  They pay tens of thousands of dollars a week.  So the phone company is not going to protect the $50 home phone.  They suggested I pay $5 or so for call blocking.  I didn't want to give in to what I felt was extortion, so I switched to VOIP.  It's a fascinating dynamic.  It is not a sustainable business model for either the phone company, JC Penny, or the collection agency.  Somebody once said that things that can't go on forever, don't.  I feel it is symptomatic of the current financial crisis.  The phone company can afford to run off the individual paying customer, because it's a small amount.  But when enough are gone then the big fish will swim away also.

Caller ID says it is GE Money. I have no acct with them and do not want one.
The times I have gotten a human to talk to me upon answering, they ask for someone who does not live here and when I ask where or when they got the number, they hang up on me.

Calls from JC Penny Creditors (G E Money Bank) continue to come in every hour on my cell phone and I have no idea who they are looking for and/or how to make them stop calling my phone.
